After we're done painting, our plates get finished with a clear coat. This is an extra step we take to help protect the paint, especially for the plates going on cars, and we can control the sheen of the finish. Whether you want your plate glossy or flat, we've got you covered.

When it comes to lighter pigments, you often have to spray several coats to get the right coverage on the plates. Kevin is spraying a second coat on these orange plates in this behind-the-scenes clip. The first coat often leaves 'shadows' around the letters, where gravity pulls the paint down as it dries. A second or even third coat is usually required. #NWLicensePlates #LicensePlateRestoration
Can you guess the year of Oregon plates we are spraying here? Hint: there are two. 🤔 We're playing around with some different colors and finishes for the back of our plates. We want to always improve the quality of our work so that we're delivering the best restoration work we can offer. That means tinkering with materials and processes all the time. #NWLicensePlates #LicensePlateRestoration
