The Salvation Army Albany, NY ARC Renovations

It's been 1 year and 6 days since the first sledge hammer took a wall down. Bathrooms are close to completion.

Bathrooms are coming along. 3rd floor floors are being completed tomorrow.

Plumbing has begun.

Scaffolding is up to remove and replace windows for current renovation.

New area for walk-in cooler and Janitorial closet.

Framing for the new Laundry room.

Greetings everyone. Construction continues. The subflooring is complete. Holes left over from removal of existing pipes, walls, etc. have been filled. Framing will begin soon. Windows have been approved by the Historical commission. Pictures will be posted soon.

Subfloor almost done. Cement board will go down next. I have stood on this.

Today Plywood is being laid down.

The process thus far has been amazing. I'm anxious to get this project completed and invite everyone for a tour!

This is more demolition that was done last Friday. Today the wall that was beside the Walk-In cooler was removed and the cooler itself will be removed.

Floor removal continues. I took some shots from above and below. Also, the TV room has temporary barriers which are sort of keeping most of the debris contained. Hard hats and safety glasses are definitely required.

Greetings everyone who is following this page. It's been a couple of weeks since any posts. Demolition is still happening along with meetings every other week. The newest pictures show where the radiators were on the walls and ceilings. Currently, the subfloor is being removed in the bathroom and will be replaced.

Greetings. You may be wondering why there have been no pictures posted for a few days. Currently, they are cleaning up the demolition from the 3rd floor. I felt that posting pictures of that would be boring. I will post pictures after the 3rd floor is cleaned of all the demolition. 2nd floor demolition begins tomorrow,

Today they started jackhammering the floors and removing metal.
