Growing Minds Mentoring Center

Our dinner cart has been so blessed lately. However end of the month is when we go thru the most food items.

But now that it has gotten cold here in NC we are in need of some items such as chapstick, gloves, warm socks, and hats. These items get lost or maybe skipped over for the purchase of a coat.

If you have any of these small items to donate please let me know. Thanks so much. It takes a village and I am so glad that the kiddos have theirs.

TONIGHT at HWY 55 in Albemarle-Growing Minds is holding a fundraiser for their after school mentoring program. YOU can assist and support this program by choosing to eat dinner there tonight! How awesome is that? THANK YOU in advance for supporting this program that is truly making a difference in Stanly County!

We are partnering with Highway 55 in Albemarle on November 2nd. A portion of the proceeds between the hours of 5-9 pm will go to help support the Growing Minds Mentoring Center. Be sure to go get yourself some tasty food and help a good cause all at the same time.

We've got lots of free swag to share with you! Come see us at Community Night Out this Saturday, October 7, from 4 p.m. - 7p.m. at YMCA Park.

This free event will feature a bounce house, face painting, music, fun games & prizes, food trucks, plus a number of helpful community resources.

We finished our summer program with a trip to Carowinds. We are thankful for each of these smiling faces and we are glad to be apart of their lives.

As we start week two of our summer program-take a look back at last week. We’ve had co****le, a trip to the museum, Big Truck Day in Albemarle and we even went skating!

The EE Waddell Community Center will host a free Mother's Day breakfast on Sunday, May 14, from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Growing Minds had our Easter egg hunt at Friendly Chevrolet Buick in Albemarle this past week. Special thanks to them for hosting our hunt and supporting this program. A huge shoutout to Albemarle Sweet Shop for providing the yummiest cookies around! We had a GREAT time!
