We converted this bathroom with a tub/shower combo to a curb-less shower for a wheelchair bond client. They wanted a minimalistic design while making it completely functional for wheelchair access. We also moved the controls to the opposite side of where it used to be. We’re waiting on the sliding shower door to be installed next week and it will be completely done. We took on this project to repair an almost brand new bathroom to rebuild it correctly. Just because it looks good from the outside does not mean it’s been built properly. It loooked great from the outside but there was no waterproofing done, the tiles were installed incorrectly with the wrong setting material and it was mixed too dry. Everything was leaking and when we went to demo, everything came off so easily. This was a major disaster waiting to happen. Luckily, we figured out what the problem was before it got worse and major damages or possibly injury/death could happen if one of these 36”x36” tiles fell off the wall from improper installation. Please make sure to have a professional build your bathroom and not just someone who says they know what they’re doing. Just because it looks good doesn’t mean it is good.

We added a new deck with a rain escape system that’s routed to an underground drainage system. The underside has recessed lighting installed into the soffit. The decking is Tiki Torch from Trex Transcend. The handrails are Trex with black aluminum balusters. We used a paralam beam to hold up the structure with only 4 6x6 posts. We added a stamped concrete patio with a sitting wall and a walkway with handrails to match for easy access from the driveway. The bottom portion of the framing is complete and we’re waiting for the inspector to arrive to give us the thumbs up to proceed with the next step. It’s definitely a beautiful day to build a 4 season room.

I tried so hard to wait for everything to be completed but I just couldn’t. Here is the outcome of the bathroom remodel for my most favorite set of clients that we’ve done so much work for and will continue to do more for them in the future.
