Good Morning
Here is the recipe this month
Red Velvet Pound Cake
2 3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon of salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter softened
1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
3 large eggs and 2 yolks
1 1/2 teaspoons of white vinegar
1 ounce bottle red food coloring
11/3 cup of buttermilk

Cream Cheese frosting
8 ounces (1 box cream cheese)
1/4 cup of softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
Create the consistency adding milk so it falls down the sides
Directions
Combine all dry ingredients except baking soda
In another bowl combine sugar butter and vanilla mix until a light yellow color and fluff 2 mins
Now alternate flour mixture with buttermilk, you will end on flour
Next add vinegar and red food coloring and the add to batter.
Oven preheat to 350
Fold cake into you greased and floured Bundt or loaf pan
Bake cake 45 to 50 minutes
Cake will bounce back or toothpick will come out clean
Cool in pan for ten minutes, time to flip it on your cooling rack, cool completely and then drizzle your frosting.

1 can pumpkin puréed
Flour
Baking soda
Vegetable or canola oil
Brown sugar
Nuts walnuts or pecans
Pumpkin spice
Cinnamon
Eggs

Hi all, I just completed a Red Velvet cake for a customer. I think it turned out great.

Celebrate Mom with a special cake for Mother’s Day. I deliver in the Virginia, DC, and Maryland area.

Last weeks tasty treat Pumpkin Bread with Streusel Top.

Streusel top
2/3 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 Cup chopped Walnuts or Pecans
1/4 Cup Cold Butter
Ingredients
2 1/4 Cups Flour
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Allspice
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Large eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 15 ounce can Pumpkin Puree
1/2 cup melted butter

Directions makes two loaves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, use parchment paper in loaf pans for easy clean up

1st prepare streusel top and keep cold in fridge.
2nd combine all of the dry ingredients flour and spices
3rd combine all of your wet ingredients eggs, sugar, pumpkin puree, and butter.
Finally, Combine wet and dry ingredients and divide batter between two pans sprinkle streusel topping on loaves and bake for 40-45 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes in pans, and cool completely on wire rack.
