The 2020 tax filing season has been delayed. The IRS says it needs more time to prepare after the COVID Relief Act that took effect in December. The agency will start processing them on Feb. 12. The IRS recommends you submit your returns electronically and use direct deposit.

Every time you’re about to make a purchase, ask yourself: Is this a “need” or a “want”?

A want is eating out at a restaurant. A need is buying food at a grocery store. A want is a lakeside getaway for a week. A need is buying medicine at the pharmacy. You get the idea.

If it’s a want, just walk away. If it’s a need, then buy it. Try this for six months and you’ll be shocked at how easy it is and how much money you’ll save. 🙌

What happened in the market last year:

Harvard did a 30 year study that I think is applicable today, but should be applied year-round:

84% of people do not have any goals, 13% have goals BUT they don’t write them down, and 3% have clear and concise written goals AND a game plan to accomplish them.

The results after the several year study:
the 13% who had goals earn twice as much as the 84% who have no goals. But, the 3% that had clear written down goals and a game plan to accomplish them make 10 times as much money as the other 97% combined!!!

Until a goal is written down it is just a wish or a dream. After it’s written down, make sure to tie your goal to activity and action by establishing a game plan to accomplish it!
