On 08/21/2024 at 12:48am, The City of Aliquippa Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Boundary Street for the report of a domestic disturbance. The caller advised that a male was inside the residence, chasing a female with a hammer. It was reported that the male was threatening to beat the female with the hammer.

As officers were arriving on scene and approaching the residence, officers observed a male in the upstairs residence window. The male was looking out of the window with the lights on. As officers approached closer, the male left the window area and shut the lights off. The male was identified and recognized by officers as Anthony VESPAZIANI, W/M-N, 45 years of age, who resides at the residence. Officers have responded to this residence in the past and are familiar with VESPAZIANI. Officers checked VESPAZIANI for warrants and Beaver County 911 advised that he did have a warrant out of the Beaver County Sheriff's Office. VESPAZIANI'S warrant was for Strangulation (Felony), stemming from a recent prior domestic violence incident. The charges were originally filed through the Aliquippa Police Department, and due to VESPAZIANI failing to attend court, a bench warrant was issued through the Sheriff's department.

HITE told officers that there was no issue and that VESPAZIANI was not inside the residence. Officers advised HITE that VESPAZIANI was seen inside the residence by officers as they approached the residence. HITE advised officers that was a female friend of hers. Due to seeing VESPAZIANI inside the residence and the circumstances of the call received, officers attempted to make entry into the residence and HITE refused. As officers attempted to make entry, HITE grabbed one of the officer's arm and hand and twisted the officer's hand. HITE resisted arrested but was subsequently taken into custody. VESPAZIANI was located hiding in a ceiling crawl space of the second floor of the residence. VESPAZIANI'S leg was hanging down from the ceiling crawl space. As officers were giving VESPAZIANI orders to come down from crawl space, VESPAZIANI attempted to maneuver through the ceiling area causing drywall/the ceiling to fall down on top of officers. Officers were struck with large pieces of drywall and debris. VESPAZIANI ended up submitting after the ceiling began to fall and was taken into custody. Both VESPAZIANI and HITE were lodged in the Beaver County Jail.

Based upon the above information the following charges have been filed on VESPAZIANI:
