When it comes to redesigning, it’s okay to not be so hasty. Slow your roll - just a little - just enough to take the time to order the samples. I’ve seen so many inspiration photos that have linked their sources (thank you!!!!) and then when we get them in our hands - they look entirely different! The color doesn’t seem right, the texture is different, etc. etc. etc. Holding and viewing your samples in your own space - IT’S SO WORTH IT!!!! Lighting💡, windows🪟 & apparently fancy camera filters📸 can make things appear so different. So order your samples, including paint in the sheen you want to use, and lay them out in the space you intend to use them. Are you still in love? ❤️❤️Then order away - the wait will be worth it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Getting fined by the HOA is the worst.

Before you invest money in your outdoor living and design, (paint, repairing your roof, replacing windows, staining your fence, etc.) make sure you check out your neighborhood regulations so you’re not fined - or worse - have to re-do it all.

These old toilets got a thumbs down. So much for repurposing and recycling. They did however create an entertaining photo op.

Downloadable Prints are transformative, easy, and flexible. I’m such a fan!

There’s a place for making an investment on unique, handmade, designer art. There’s also lots and lots of places where you don’t need to spend a lot of money to create a beautiful space.

I love downloadable prints and it’s not exaggerating to say that I use them in the majority of my clients homes. It’s so easy to search for a design style, a color scheme, a location and find a piece that will work. Best part - they are so affordable!! You can print to the size you need - just measure that frame you already have that could use a refresh. They are perfect for corner vignettes, finishing gallery walls & seasonal decor. You can even print them as canvases, framed or not for larger impact pieces. Etsy is my very favorite source - it won’t let you down.

I like to keep a handy folder and switch them out for holidays, parties and birthdays.

Have you tried this trick?? It’s a game changer, maybe even addictive. Or, maybe that’s just me.

Hello 2019 - I remember you, you were so innocent and naive ushering us into 2020. Serious throwback to 4 years ago. It feels like we were just celebrating these seniors yesterday, and now they are all just real live adults in the best way! We blinked and now we’re talking about careers and grad school.

I’m sharing all things Graduation Party! While it is the season of graduates, so many of these principles apply to any party you want to throw.

FOOD - Everybody’s favorite, am I right? We really played off the “sweet” vibe. I really hope we served more than sugar, 4 years later I have no evidence if we did and I can’t remember. Some of our candy puns: O’fish’ally Finished - Swedish Fish, Book Worms - gummy worms, One Smart Cookie - custom cookies, Student Loans - 100 Grands, Teacher’s Pets - Animal Cookies, Graduating Rocks - Pop Rocks, Honor Roll - Tootsie Rolls, etc. etc. and another etc. Message me if you want more.

PHOTOS - Posting photos on a memo board or adding layers with frames serves a double function, it gives the guests something personal to look at and adds decor. Who loves personal touches and decor? Oh that’s right, me!

DECOR - Instead of placing decorations throughout your space, I like to create vignettes or spaces. Group decor elements together for a bigger impact. A balloon arch adds so much more interest than 100 balloons individually hung. Add a banner to a balloon arch and you’ve also created a photo op spot. Start thinking of the hashtag you’re going to use.

DISPLAY AND GIFTS - this works for birthday parties, weddings, showers and graduation. Our party was for 4 girls and each girl had their zone on the table to display their photos, hobbies and memorabilia from their high school years. We placed flower arrangements and a framed signature “Friends” couch that said “I’ll be there for you”. These were part of the girls gifts but they also helped fill the display table. It also created a space to leave gifts or cards.

How cute were our TX grads with their TX aprons? Three of the four were leaving the state so it just felt right to send them off with a token from home.

I jetted out of town for the long weekend! I came back to Idaho Falls to spend time with family. The timing with it being Memorial Day was perfect. It was the perfect weather to visit a few cemetery’s this afternoon, the memorial sites of a few family members who valiantly served in our military. I’m so grateful for their courage to fight for my own freedom. For real!

I might be the worst decision maker, but I’m forever grateful that I get to make them!

Do you know what else Memorial Day is to me - the official kickoff to all things summer.
Pool-time, barbecues, vacations, sleeping in, reunions, camps, game days and movie nights - I’m ready for all of it.

Monday May 22nd feels like the perfect day for another “Before and After”. This time for a serene, coastal teen retreat.

I love a good transformation - and the timing on this one is so appropriate. I’ve got to make it through 3.5 more days of school, so if you think the beach isn’t calling to me, you’d be wrong.

We had a plumber out to finally fix our issues - hooray. I could tough it out through a cold shower, but cold bath, no thanks. 👎🏻 Mr bathtub has been neglected, but he’s back in business.

An inviting, functional design around the bath is one of my favorite spaces to style. 🛁🧼🧽I love to decorate with bath essentials, a basket of wash clothes, apothecary jars for bath salts and soaps. Also, decorative containers for your hair care - so cute!! Plus you can buy your products in bulk and save a little money.

This bath tray was a surprise from my husband, I didn’t even ask for it, and to make it even sweeter, he styled it. ❤️❤️❤️I love him! See that book holder- it’s the perfect size to hold a tablet or laptop. I love lighting the candle, turning on a show, laying back on my bath pillow and relaxing.

(I’m so sorry if you’re grossed out by a bath post. 🤪😂I’ve always been a bather but just recently learned that it’s such a divided camp!🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️)

Wondering how the process of E-Design actually works. Check out the 4 simple steps below.

You schedule your project and fill out the design questionnaire. Along with the questionnaire, you will submit pictures and measurements of your space

Step 2
I will use your project brief to determine a layout of your space, select colors, furniture, and decor for your room, and help you to visualize the new space with use of mood board and 3D renderings. There will be checkpoints along the way to make sure that you are loving your new room.

Step 3
After final approval, I will create a detailed design documentation packet, with images, clickable shopping list, and detailed instructions for how you will transform you space. You will feel confident in pulling it together yourself!

Step 4
Using your design documentation, you will purchase everything for your new space, execute your project, and LOVE your new room. Be sure to send me the "after" pictures!

What in the wild world is going on? I’v been slowly building this tiny, baby, design business. However today, she’s starting to feel like a big girl.

It’s time to switch my hat to Dr. Rainie - just for today - and I’ve got a prescription to help you feel better in mind and body. Studies show that 120 min per week outside can significantly boost your health and well being. So…..I’m sharing my tips and tricks to create a retreat that draws us to the great outdoors.

1. USE PRODUCTS MADE FOR THE OUTDOORS. If you can’t hose it down, leave it indoors. Fading and wear will also not be such a big problem.
2. 2 BIRDS 1 STONE- use functional items that are also decorative. Do I say this on every post? I’m clearly a fan. Citronella candles that look beautiful and keep the bugs away, umbrellas that create shade and and define the space, outdoor clocks that tell the time and gives you the weather, end tables that have storage, you get the idea.
3. ADD AMBIANCE - Sitting by a fire, with candlelit lantern and outdoor speakers, it all comes together for the perfect atmosphere.

Grabbing a book right now and headed outside to read. May in Dallas - a treat from Mother Nature before the summer comes in full force. Gotta enjoy it while I can.

Keeping up the Clients = Like Keeping up with the Joneses, only when the designer wants to copy her clients designs for her own space. 😏It’s real folks. So I guess you can imagine how I feel about this Primary Bath. I. Want. It.

The mid-century furniture, the hexagon tile, blue toned backsplash, beaded chandelier, gold and glass plus vintage hardware. It all fits together like the pieces were designed for each other.

Imagine walking into your bath one day finished out in this design. All the heart eyes, all of them. 😍😍😍

When you look at homes built 20+ years ago, you usually find so much more architectural detail, custom finishes and interesting floorpans. I sum it up as so much charm.

This little series is going to go room by room to offer easy and affordable solutions to take your home from builder grade to beautiful.

Small Bath Suggestions

1. Replace the mirror: If you stumble across an affordable priced piece - grab it, it’s sure to work.
2. Add hardware: Small bath bonus - you usually only need two or three pieces, so you can get something unique!
3. Switch out the light: Same rules apply to the mirror, if you see a piece you like at a price you’d be willing to pay, get that guy.
4. Paint: The easiest, breeziest of all the redesign. You can do just the cabinets, so fun, just the walls, so fun, or in this example - all of it.

Oh how I love spring, it seems to ask us to slow down, inhale, and take in the beauty of the earth. It even puts me in the mood to clean, and that’s saying something. It’s the perfect season to spend as much time outside as possible.

For those times we spend inside, here are a few of my favorite ways to bring the outdoors in.

1. Swap out your floral stems for light and airy pastels.

2. Add in a touch of floral and cozy cotton on your throw pillows.

3. Wicker and terracotta have my heart in the spring.

5. Search Etsy for Spring Printables, download, print, frame and scatter them like sunshine throughout your house.

7 years ago today……such a flashback, and just look at how the 4 older kids have changed. My mom had her knee replaced and was laid up in the hospital. We strategized on the safest way to share the news so she wouldn’t fall out of the bed. Also trying to get the news out so it didn’t fall to close to April Fools Day was challenging. We wanted people to believe us, but we were in a time crunch because mama was fattening up.
It was the surprise that shocked everyone. Here we are 7 years later and Graham Fam productions is thriving.

Game On
Honoring all things March Madness - the perfect mood board for the perfect sports loving boy. My son would love a place to lounge and watch the big games, instead he can have a space to lounge and think about the big games - because mama doesn’t allow TV’s or phones in the rooms. Which as you could assume, means I’m the strictest mom in the whole world. I didn’t think it was a competition but my kids keep tell me I’m winning.

I don’t want to make absolute statements, but some teenagers are messy, they might not make their beds, or pick up after themselves. So give them he tools to succeed. 4 tips:
1. Keep laundry, clothes and shoes in the closet, then don’t look in there. All the things boys love to drop on the floor, can successfully be dropped on the closet floor.
2. Keep decor simple, lots of loose items on nightstand and dressers will just end up being a mess.
3. The cork board - it’s the catch all for the papers, notes, awards, pictures, etc. The frame contains the space, so you have a boundary with the chaos.
4. Using a Pura Scent Diffuser or Reed Diffusers isn’t the worst idea.

What does the process look like to hire a designer. Here’s a quick overview:

1. Discovery Call - This call takes place over Zoom. We’ll share information about our company and get to know you and what you’re looking for. We’ll discuss the scope of your project and budget. Once we know each other a little better we decide if we want to “swipe right” on each other and move the relationship forward. This is followed up with a comprehensive survey we send out that you’ll complete before the next step.

2. Initial Home Visit - One of our designers will meet you at your place. We’ll see the job first hand, take measurements, go further into the function you want your spaces to serve.

3. Design Presentation - This is so exciting for both of us. We’ll host you at our office space to go over the presentation. This is a very visual experience with room concept renderings & samples to hold and touch. All decision makers need to be at this appointment because contracts are signed - it’s go time.

4. Project Delivery - After the Design Presentation, you get to sit back and relax while our team makes magic. We handle all the little details, secure contractors, take care of shipping & procurement to give you the big “WOW” reveal on Installation day. Think Disneyworld: you plan, prepare and pay, then you get to ride down your favorite coaster, hands in the air, screaming and laughing with joy, that’s Project Delivery.

Our family left the 80 degree Texas heat for the 08 degree Idaho Spring Break - and we’re the happiest about it!

It’s been the snowiest year in Idaho. We drove up through plowed roads in a white tunnel of snowbanks piled high on each side of the road. As we passed a school Mallory asked us why they didn’t have spring break, to which Chris responded “Does it look like spring here?”

Today I’m sharing my favorite person’s, favorite space - Chris’s study. So much good happens in this room. He’s such a deliberate and intentional thinker, and I feel like most of our best family plans have originated from that black leather chair in the corner. Usually with his feet kicked up, glasses on, lamp lit space while it’s still dark outside.

Everything about this room was inspired by our Idaho roots, the earthy elements of wood, leather, mountains, hide and his favorite place - the Grand Tetons.
