Supervisor West drove the truck with the horse trailer back to our station, while Fellow Medical Director Dr. Jillian took the Supervisor vehicle. Meanwhile, our teamโMark, Lexi, and two EMT studentsโtransported the patient to the hospital. Knowing the importance of CPR:
Yesterday a male resident at his Upper Macungie Township home had a cardiac arrest. His wife began CPR nearly immediately until the Upper Macungie Township Police Department, Upper Macungie Township Station 56, and Good Will Fire Co. No. 1 of Trexlertown arrived. The police used their AED to defibrillate the patient twice. The man began to breathe and had strong pulses and was awake and breathing when EMS arrived. Cetronia Ambulance Corps took over treatment and transported him to the hospital. Great job to all the crews that assisted on this call.
This gentleman is alive today because of the quick actions of his wife and the fast response from our police and fire partners. This is why it is so important to know CPR! Find a class today, https://www.cetronia.org/education/community-education/
