Below is Hope, our feral born sanctuary bunny who I saved from living the terrible life of a feral domestic bunny out in Langley Wa over 4 years ago.

We have a cute new boarding bunny here, Riley! He was just neutered and I am doing his recovery and when he's 6-8 weeks post op we will start bonding him with his new brother and sister who will arrive tomorrow for boarding for about a month. He has the best human mom! He has no clue how lucky he is that she adopted him from the shelter.
This is going to be a new service we offer not only boarding but surgery recovery as well. In efforts to support the sanctuary bunnies and all their needs!

Please message us for information.

I also added some pictures of our bunnies after they got to play in the grass and sun while I cleaned today.

We are still doing our hay fundraiser which so far we have raised $27!
Thank you to those who have donated. Every bit helps!

I wanted to come on here and express my appreciation for each and everyone of you that has stood beside us and showed so much support to the bunnies and I. I truly from the bottom of my heart can't thank you enough. All the kind comments, messages, goodies sent to the buns and to those who have made me feel like all the work I've done over the years for these bunnies means something.

I've been being asked a lot lately if donations can still be sent to us. And yes of course donations are still SO much welcomed and very appreciated. Now more than ever. I'll put below ways to donate.

Again thank you all so much.
I know we are not currently active taking rescues in, but we are still here for grooming, boarding and help with bonding. And we still have many bunnies here that are sanctuary bunnies who are not candidates for adoption.

I have not been able to update, but Nellie pulled through and is still with us! I for sure thought she was gone... but she kept fighting, so I fought for her. ❤️

I just want to be transparent here if I haven't in the past, in 2021 we got our non profit status. I went into this blind to be honest, (I was supposed to have help but that ended up not working out) and I was so focused on the rescue and the bunnies as those 2 years after that was the busiest we have ever been caring for over 70+ rabbits so I completely spaced on filing the correct paperwork to keep my Washington state registration. But my IRS tax deductible status was still active, that is what everyone I talked to, everything I found online said. So I continued saying I was a nonprofit. I did file the 990n postcard to the irs in 2022 for 2021 like I was supposed to since we have never received $50,000 or more in donations. 2023 was a difficult year and so I let it slip sending in that 990n post card for 2022 taxes. Again we weren't even close to receiving $50,000 in donations so that's what they required us to file. I have now paid the penalties and sent in both year 2022 and year 2023 990n postcard for our taxes for those years. But even though I was late, IRS says we have 3 years of non filing before they revoke our non profit status.

I have never made a dime on these bunnies, every donation has gone right back into the care and needs of the rescues here, and we have even helped other rescues over the years as well when we could.

To be called a scammer and saying I'm doing criminal and fraudulent things and taking advantage of people for my own benefit has really caused a lot of issues and I'm not going to tolerate it anymore.

I wasn't going to reinstate my Washington state Registration but because of all this, I am spending money that I don't really have right now and sending in the paperwork to get that done.

Every website I go on says LUCKY BUNNY RESCUE is still very much a public charity and all donations are tax deductible, I will add screen shots below.

Also- programs like donation matching BENEVITY, PayPal giving fund, and some vets wouldn't work with me without a valid non profit status. Which all those do work with me.

If you have any questions, please contact me! I have absolutely nothing to hide.
My only goal and the only goal I've ever had was to help all the abused, neglected and dumped bunnies, to provide necessary medical needs, rehab if needed, and get them fixed, vaccinated and into loving forever homes.

And to those who have supported me, the rescue, the bunnies all these years, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I couldn't have ever done this without you all.

So much love and gratitude,
Ashley and the bunnies.

When talking to many professionals I was told that yes my Washington state registration has been dissolved, but when they looked at the information from the IRS page, I was told I'm still listed as a non profit charity and that donations can still be deducted. I have screenshots that were sent to me showing it. That is the reason I was still putting that we were a non profit in some of our posts, mostly on the Nextdoor app.

I should have just stopped all around. But I was told it would be better to add it to our posts.

There's people saying I'm not a rescue and was never a rescue and that the bunnies that I've helped were just my personal pets.

My question is, why would PayPal giving fund work with me? Why would benevity work with me? Why would CBEAM in Bothell give me a rescue discount if we were not legit and we just were scamming people?

All these places need proof of a non profit status. So I'm confused. Honestly.

I've never made a dime on these bunnies and I have never been in this for money. I've been through hell with some of these bunnies. I've brought back many from near death and have worked round the clock to make sure they have a fighting chance when others just threw them out like trash.

From now on, I'll be closing down this page, and anything linked to Lucky Bunny Rescue. We will continue to care for our sanctuary bunnies, do boarding for our friends and previous adopters, help with grooming. Just from now on please contact me on my personal page, or through email. I am done with the rescue world and the way some people have treated me. Ive never in a million years would scam anyone. Bunnies cost a lot of money, especially when you have multiples and older or medically needy ones.

Thank you to those who have helped and supported the hundreds of bunnies we have been able to save and adopt out over the years.

I'm so sorry for those that think I've "scammed" anyone.

I am in contact with a lawyer to address these accusations.

I have a huge favor, if you have met me in person, came and seen our rescue and the bunnies, or have adopted from me, or foster for me, etc, can you write a post or comment or review on our page? There has been some false information flying around about me not actually being a rescue or helping bunnies and that I'm a scammer....
My heart is completely shattered. 💔

As I sit here and think about the year we have had at the rescue, I can't help but be so incredibly grateful for all of you for the continued support and encouragement. We have been able to help SO many bunnies and we couldn't of done that without the help of our wonderful community of animal lovers.

I do have a few special people I'd like to thank individually,
Angie Green and Tamara Adlin with Special Bunny

Michelle Kichty- Carabini

Nicole Myers and her husband.

These special people have shown us so much love and support over the years and continue to do so. Without them, there's no way we would have been able to help so many bunnies.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU❤️

Lacey Reyes you stepped in and offered your help with our adoptable rescues in a time that was so dark and painful for me after loosing my mom. You didn't know me or my family, but you still opened your home and your heart to 15 of our bunnies and quickly found them loving homes. I can never thank you enough. ❤️❤️

While 2023 was the worst year of my life because of loosing my mom.
I am still so grateful we were able to help many bunnies out of terrible situations and into loving homes.

Thank you all so much for always supporting us and our bunnies. I know I'm not currently open for rescues, but one day we will be and for now we will continue loving and caring for the 13 sanctuary bunnies that will live out their lives with us.

❤️❤️❤️

Merry Christmas from all the bunnies and our family here at Lucky Bunny Rescue. ❤️🎄

12/20/2023

My sweet Charlie girl. Thinking about how just a few short months ago she was living on the streets scrounging for food and praying she wasn't going to be someone's dinner... now, like the rest of the animals at the Bowling house, she is spoiled, and so loved. ❤️ we couldn't save these innocent little beings without the help and support of our wonderful community of animal lovers. So from my family and the bunnies at Lucky Bunny Rescue/Sanctuary we thank you and want to wish you all wonderful holiday❤️

Lots of love and gratefulness,

Ashley and The Bunnies🐰
