Chippy's Pouch Pies
Chippy's is honored to partner with other small businesses. Last week one of them made national news... we love Pouch Pies!! Their story is amazing all thanks to a Scottish father and a Maltese mother...

HAPPY PRESIDENTS’ DAY: We are open as usual today from 10-6… here’s remembering the time when FDR sent Churchill down the Avenue to address both houses of congress in 1941. His first point… letting everyone know that if his father was American instead of his mother… he probably would of been a member of congress without being invited… 🇬🇧😆💁‍♂️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

Thanks to students at Grand View University for this Des Moines Travel Video on Chippy’s… 🇬🇧👌💁‍♂️

We are excited to announce that the musical arrangement of “Elizabeth Remembered” by Andrew Wainwright and Chippy’s owner Glenn Greet has been published. The piece was a collaboration between Buckingham Palace, the BBC, & British composer Debbie Wiseman, OBE. Glenn is looking forward to first performing this piece in Omaha on March 25th with the Nebraska Brass Band.

Today’s Friday Finds gave us a sneak peak of a brand-new shop opening in the Des Moines area for the first time, Chippy's Des Moines ! Walking in the door takes me back to my time in England. This shop is filled with everything British. From Cadburys and Walkers to jams and jellies used in the Buckingham Palace, even items from the Great British Baking Show. The market includes over 475 food and gift items all imported from England. This adorable British marketplace will host their Grand Opening tomorrow, Saturday, October 22nd and the Iowa British Car Club will be making an appearance in their parking lot from 10am-12pm. You must stop in and pick up some treats and goodies, I recommend the rice pudding and jams from the palace!

Farewell Your Majesty… until we meet again.
