Happy Birthday to 11U Coach Ken Dengel! We appreciate you so much for the leadership that you bring to our team, and we hope you have an amazing birthday!

What an incredible weekend for First Strike 11U! We built off the momentum from last weekend’s runner up finish and came into this tournament ready to COMPETE! That we did, capturing the #1 seed yesterday after outscoring our opponents 17-5 in pool play.

Then, after winning a hard fought semifinal game, we found ourselves down 5-1 after the 1st inning of the Championship game vs a very good team. Our boys didn’t give up, they didn’t lay down, they COMPETED! After holding them to no runs in the top of the second, we exploded for 7 runs in the bottom of that inning to take the lead and never looked back! We wound up winning the Championship by a score of 12-8!
So proud of the way this team is staying poised and playing so hard for each other, every pitch of every inning, and we’re so happy for the boys to be able to get their first rings of the season! Way to go 11U, let’s keep this thing going!

Jackson “JT” Turner was everything that you need a lead off batter to be this past weekend. He had a .625 batting average, a .750 OBP, had 5 hits, stole 7 bases, scored 7 runs, and even had 2 RBIs! His incredible performance at the plate helped his team tremendously and earned him this week’s 11U Silver Slugger award! Keep it up JT, you’re doing awesome!

Whether it be by setting a good example or by using his voice at the right time, Noah “Stretch” Stout was providing great leadership for his team this past weekend. For those reasons and others, he has been named Captain by his coaches for this upcoming tournament! Way to go Noah, we appreciate your attitude and leadership!

For his incredible work behind the dish this past weekend, Micah Krumrey has earned this week’s Golden Glove Award! Whether it was blocking the ball in the dirt, throwing people out at second, or making great catches and tags for outs at home, Micah was an absolute WALL behind the plate! Way to go MK, we’re excited to see your continued growth at this position!

Our 11U First Strike boys came up just short in the Championship game today of the GOB Everest Expedition tournament. That said, they played so well all weekend, and played for each other as brothers on the field together.

There were great hits and incredible plays made throughout the weekend, and we’re so excited to build off this foundation moving forward. Goooo First Strike APK!

Our First Strike APK 11U team has certainly had bad luck with the weather this season, but we’re SO READY to get back on the field this weekend for the GOB Everest Expedition Tournament!

First Strike 12u boys received their Championship rings and trophy tonight from their tournament last weekend. The Sunday games were cancelled which delayed receiving their "Bling". These boys worked hard and secured the #1 seed after all teams played Saturday. This moved them up the points ranking to USSSA State ranked #1 and National ranked #4. Keep it up, and keep working hard. It's all about the Team not just one player!!

12u parents and fans. FYI-- USSSA has made decision this morning that due to weather all games today have been cancelled. The boys were seeded #1 and that should be where they get to stay since they didn't get to play any further games.

12u was the only team to go 2-0 in the tournament today. It wasn't always pretty but as a team they overcame and together won. They will play tomorrow at 10:30am. Let's keep the good spirits and cheer them on!! Let's go First Strike!!

The 12u boys took the W in both games today. Waiting for last games to finish for the day to find out when we play tomorrow. Times will be posted soon as they are released.

After batting .429 on the weekend, Caleb “Bam Bam” K***a has earned the 11U Silver Slugger Award for this past weekend’s tournament! Way to go Bam Bam!

This week’s 11U Golden Glove Award Winner is Drew Butler! Drew held down the hot corner all weekend long, making some great plays for key outs! Drew also did a great job pitching for K’s and fielding from the mound as well! Way to go Dreeeewwwww!!!

For his great play and excellent leadership, Owen “O-Dawg” Donohoe has been named 11U’s Team Captain for the next tournament. Owen not only had a great weekend at the plate, in the outfield, and behind the dish as catcher, but showed great attitude and leadership all weekend long! Keep it up Owen, way to go!

Come see the 12u First Strike Boys at the Mt.Dora Lowes. They will be there until 5:30pm. These boys are working hard to raise money for their Fall season and their BIG Spring tournament. They will be getting the chance to go to Cooperstown All Star Village in New York.

For his awesome energy, enthusiasm, and leadership this past weekend, Chase Dengel has been named Team Captain for the first 2 tournaments of the season! Chase was encouraging his teammates and had a great attitude all weekend long to earn this Captain title! Keep it up Chase!

With an on base percentage of .800 this past weekend, Logan Millares has earned the 11U Silver Slugger Award for the first tournament of the fall season! Logan came up with some clutch hits and tore up the base paths for steals all weekend, he was much deserving of the award! Way to go Logie!!!
