More beautiful babies that have seen us to get all fresh and clean 🧼🫧 and special shout out to Chewbacca for after almost 2 years he finally for the first time let me grind all his nails!!!! That’s so special for him. He did not have good experiences with groomers before you could tell and coming to me he was absolutely terrified and I’ve had to build up a lot of trust. Now we’ve finally hit a major accomplishment 🥳

With a very sad and broken heart I lost a beautiful client today, but not just a client I felt and loved her like one of my own. It’s hard to not become so attached the furbabies that enter our lives. I will miss beautiful Dani girl so much. The girls of The Groom Room will miss her as well.

Another round of hand stripping in the books 🙌🏼 hand stripping is not a regular practice for us and this is just round 1 but I’m definitely enjoying the long lasting benefits from them and seeing the results is always fun. Getting to continue to learn and practice it is a process but definitely worth it.

Big Ted crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 a few days ago. This big boy was rescued by my uncle and we new right away his past life was not easy. When I started grooming Ted I groomed Housecall and it always was just a bit easier so Ted was in the comfort of his home for the process. He was always so well behaved but also completely uncomfortable with the process and me. Over the years he finally came to start trusting me and started making the trip from Ontario to my salon to get his grooming done. His visits always made me smile and made me think about just had far he’d come. Now in heaven your big floofy butt and big round soulful eyes will definitely be missed. Rest in Peace Big Ted.

First let me state that in no way shape or form am I posting this to criticize any owner. Me myself has been through some difficult times where money has been tight. Buuuuut…….. I think it’s important to post this for owners to see how a home haircut can go wrong. Like I said things happen money gets tight and I’m not judging. I fully understand. But please take into consideration we as groomers are trained. In this situation this pup got burned by a clipper being too hot on her skin. Clippers tend to get hot and if we don’t check them this is what can happen. We also maintain their nails so they don’t get too long and ear hair is often also missed. If ear hair is excessive In the canal it needs to be plucked out so that there is air flow so they don’t get infections. We also check their glands to make sure they aren’t full so they don’t rupture. All of these things is something we learn and if the owner isn’t aware of things like these instead of saving money doing the haircut themselves they end up having to pay for a vet visit spending money they were trying to avoid doing in the first place. So just talk to your groomer. Put your pup on a regular schedule to avoid extra added costs or fees. We always want to help and do what’s best for the pup.

Missy came all the way from Montana to come visit me! Her parents moved but still won’t let me go lol. I’m so thankful they love me that much. She had a lot going on since it’s been awhile but I’m happy I was still able to save most of her fringe ❤️

We got bad news from 2 families today that we lost 2 handsome pups. R.i.p Cooper and Juda 😞 we will all miss you ❤️🌈

Spent the day watching demo her Giraffe and it was such a pleasure to see her and continue to learn. I love creative grooming and these past few days have definitely lit a fire in me to continue learning and growing my trade.
