I was in tears yesterday, received the sad news Red Raven our post gal passed away. She was a horse that fought to stay alive when starved for several months until I was able to rescue her. Animal Control gave the owner a 30 day notice to feed the horse. Thanks to my supporters we were able to rescue Red Raven sooner than the 30 days. Several calls from my supporters to animal control inundated their phone lines until they decided to speak to the owner to release the horse to Goldenhearts. Red arrived at GHLR Ranch, the vet gave her a body score of two and we did not believe she would survive. She was a fighter and later adopted to a wonderful family/organization (the Barites Veteran Ranch) in Norco, California. She lived a happy life at GHLR and blessed to find a wonderful forever home in Norco with a family with two young boys who adored her. I decided to pick up the surrendered horses on Sunday. I’m debating if I should take on two more rescues. I only have room for one. This one needs much work. He was a gorgeous horse in his youth. He’s 24yrs old now and as you know Arabian horses can live well into their 40’s if well taken care of. This guy needs his teeth floated, feet done, dewormed, and much needed feed to gain weight. Good morning! Rise and shine

Update on the heeler owner was going to shoot for killing his chickens. I was able to find the pup a great home, the new owner drove 9hrs to pick him up. I was send a video of him at his new place in Mendocino. He no longer lives tie to a chain and has a new buddy to play with. Wow long day on the road at 5pm to pick up abandoned goats and sheep. Owner had a stroke and is in the hospital and will not return to his home. One goat was slaughtered by Neighbors and the rest will come to GHLR. The dog will be euthanized he attacked two goats. Poor doggie was hungry. If anyone is interested in taking the pup he’s about 1yr old? Also any donations for feed or gas is greatly appreciated.
