Has anyone seen this baby? Missing from the Rocky Mount Church/old Hall Chemical building area in Arab. He’s 12 years old, has only one eye and mostly deaf. He’s been missing for 6 days. Please be in the lookout and please share.

Last night, just after 11pm, two guys LITERALLY dropped a basket of 5 emaciated puppies over our fence. We have video surveillance of these guys but if anyone knows who they are, WE WILL press charges and a REWARD will be given when they are arrested. The puppies WILL NOT go back to them but we need a foster for today and tomorrow. I have lined up a rescue for them on Friday. In the meantime, if anyone would like to have one or more of these puppies, they are free to a good, loving home but vet references will be checked if I don't know you personally. The video of the guys will be first then pics of these precious babies, who look to be mostly Dachshund, will follow. Thank you and please feel free to share.

Shoal Creek Kennels is fine this morning. There are a lot of road closures but you can get to us by going down Hwy 69 (toward Guntersville) and turn on Shoal Creek Road. It is clear. Be safe!

Position Requirements:

Provide excellent pet care
Responsible for caring for and playing with pets
Cleaning kennels and play areas
Laundry, dishes, general cleaning of the kennel area and office area
Position does require a lot of walking and some lifting. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
Assist with maintenance and minor repairs
Assist with feeding and medicating pets
Dependable transportation

This position is ideal for someone who is:

Adaptable and flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent changes in direction
Detail-oriented
Able to work with pets in a calm, non-threatening manner
Able to recognize dog behaviors and have basic knowledge of how to handle certain situations
Regularly stand for periods of time
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure appropriately
