Please save the date, and I hope to see you there!
🥰 V D A Y 2 0 2 2🥰
The day of love was yesterday, but I had a great TWO days of fun, laughs, and love.
I know not everyone goes all out for this holiday, but we changed it by doing somethings you can do anytime!
Here's what we got into:
🖤 The National Museum of African American History and Culture
This was my 3rd time going and I still keep learning something new. Plus, it is wayyy less crowded. Masks are required and they did check our vaccination cards to get into the café (although this mandate is apparently going away)
🥘 Dinner . I had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was so much food (I mean the 1st course was 6 dishes!). All the wine selected was the perfect pairing. It was great
⭐ A little magic was done on my brows! Sheesh. I get threaded and it still brings a tear to my eye!
⚜Speaking of magic!! We also went to a digital art display
I was absolutely mesmerized! No words can depict what's going on in there. They also have a bar that opens at 3pm and there are drinks inspired by the piece. Also, each drink comes with a QR Code that is yet another art piece inspired by the drink! It's never ending!
🍽 More food
There was a special tasting menu (we also got wine pairings) for Vday and it was awesome. They even gave us a to go bag with milk and cookies. Perfect.
🍿To end it all off, a nightcap at Off The Record "where you can be seen but not heard" located inside the
Everything is red basically lol and it was a nice quiet spot to grab a drink and chat. My drink came with caramel popcorn soo I was happy.
Of course you have to do all this riding around town in a black Suburban to make you feel somewhat important lol. I was wearing a dang dress, it was worth it.
🍷SEASON 2 PREMIERE
🛑 I M P O R T A N T🛑
I have to get this off my chest.
If you have been a fan of this page for the past 6 months in particular, you know that I have been in and out for various reasons. Reasons that I expressed, and reasons I haven't.
I have been thinking about how I have not been posting. I haven't really done anything new, and I have not really seen any growth on my page (no loss though).
I put this I surmountable amount of pressure on myself to POST and ultimately I come up with nothing and don't post.
Today, I had a post...and this is it. It is not your fault that I get stressed about not having content for the moment but it makes me feel better to say that sometimes I will be here and sometimes I won't.
That's all.
Happy SIPN'
2021 TOOK BETTY WHITE
Dear 2021,
I am so glad that you die tonight.
You took Betty White and that is unacceptable.

🍷NEW BLOG ALERT🍷
I have been having a great time going live everyday for my "24 Days of Wine" (which you should watch if you haven't)
I decided to blog about the wines that I am tasting. Tonight I posted a blog about the wine I SIPD on on Day 1.
Go check it out!
Link in bio!
www.withcjones.com
⏰SAVE THE DATE⏰
And I mean all of them!
Last year I was extremely upset to learn about advent wine calendars when it was too late (they sell out y'all). This year I was playing ZERO games.
I decided on the 24 day advent from Wall Street Journal () because 1. It's 24 days instead of 12 and 2. They have a good wine club and have had positive experiences with their wine selections and recommendations. I could have gone with a 12 day (which is more likely to have full sized bottles), but this one was still more appealing.
Then, of course I figured it would be awesome to share this with you all. So, yes; I plan on going LIVE for 24 days IN A ROW! It's absolutely insane, but I am going to try my best to show up each day lol.
Similar to my show, SIPN', I will not taste the wine prior to the show, and I will literally be going through my wine tasting process....BUT for a little extra kick, I will not even know what wine I am drinking prior to the show! So, this is COMPLETELY unscripted.
It is going to be kept short--around 20 minutes, but of course I will be answering any questions and just engaging with you as we go along.
If you have a wine advent, or even just some wine, or even if you just want to join--I look forward to you being there.
The 1st installment is tonight, Dec. 1st at 7PM!
🧐WHERE HAS WITH C.JONES BEEN?🧐
I have not been gone for no reason, and right now I dont want to type out what is said in the video. I apologize for the lack of captions.
If you have questions, ask! But remember I may not answer all of there are a lot 😊
🥚HOW DO I LOKE MY EGGS?🥚
Of course with everything going on I am reminded of that time a few years ago when my co-workers got me this cake.
It was the day before my surgery.
The surgery to have my fallopian tubes removed.
This was a huge deal to me. I was FINALLY able to (after 10 years of fighting the medical system) do something with my body that I wanted.
I always knew I didn't want children....and the times I "said" I did I was conforming to what society or a partner expected of me.
On top of that I had severe endometriosis. The removal of my tubes and insertion of an IUD tremendously helped me.
Point is...I shouldn't have had to wait 10 years and hear all the "your not old enough" "let's revisit this once you have a baby" arguments and I should have been able to decide what was done to my body from day 1.
Women should have the right to make decision regarding their body from DAY 1.
SO, I like my eggs in a cake....not fertilized in my uterus.
😘ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE😘
So, I did a little poll on my stories, and it looks like a few of you wanted a food post. Here it is. Y'all know I went to a little while back, but I never posted what I ATE!! Easy fix.
I got the Tasting Menu with Wine Pairings. (It's in my bio for a reason). So sorry but I don't remember what the 2 bites were. They were delicious though. In addition to the wine, I was SIPN' on a cocktail. the Sania.

🛑NEW BLOG ALERT🛑
Ok, so before I get into that. This is sort of a good news/bad news post. I'm going to decide for you and give the bad news first.
Like I said when I posted my wine review, I am NEW to this....so, in the process of publishing my blog post, I deleted my Wine Review. No worries, I will rewrite it...probably just not tonight. However, for right now, it's gone bye bye.
That being said, I DO have a new BLOG POST! My first ever blog post for With C.Jones.
I talked about things to keep in mind when you're a WANNABE wine expert like me. It seems so much more appropriate now that the whole deleting a review that was doing pretty well thing happened.
Go check it out. LINK IN BIO!

Thing is....the review ain't here! So go head and click on the link in my bio so you can see the full review on my site.
SPOILER: I like it.

🖤B L A C K W I N E M A G I C🖤
So many BLACK OWNED wines out there that I want to try!!
▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
Reposted from
with Bertony Faustin’s 2018 Willamette Chardonnay — “My most difficult wine to make” he told me & across the counter at his winery bottle shop. Bertony farms a vineyard out on Germantown Road, and this is my favorite from their current range: citrus cream, crisp meringue and pastry crust, like a bake shop lemon bar in a bottle.
🍭ADULT CANDY🍭
Y'all, I finally was able to try ! I have been looking forward to this for a while (if you are in DC....you can get some too btw).
I had the pineapple, apple, and watermelon. I tasted them alone, and plan to see what else I can do with it!!
Now, you may be asking, what's the big deal with Drunken Fruit?
1️⃣ It's Black-owned
2️⃣ It's quality product
3️⃣ The fruit is aged for YEARS (so, no, it's not like those soggy fruit you eat after letting it sit in vodka overnight)
4️⃣They age the fruit in a "proprietary blend" of alcohol...and based on my taste buds....not every fruit gets the same alcohol (correct me if I'm wrong )
I definitely see why the pineapple is one of the most popular, it was my favorite from the 3 and I want to try some more!!
This adult candy was to me, but I will always be honest with what I think. I will be supporting and I encourage you to do the same.
▪️FACE TO FACE▪️
I did something a little different on Memorial Day. No cookout. No "family".
I DID, however, meet my boss and 5 of my coworkers in person for the FIEST time in over a year. So, yeah you see food here, but I'm mostly glad I was able to see the folx I've been working with for the first time.
I know important things like how tall they are, if they actually wear pants, what their faces look like behind all the computer fuzz. Yes, it was monumental. So, excited that we were all able to get together for the first time. 🥰
🖤WINE + ART🖤
▪️Using wine and art for greater inclusion▪️
"We believe through education, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future for BIPOC. Which is why we have chosen to donate our first allocation’s proceeds to Cal Poly’s BIPOC Wine and Viticulture Scholarship Program"
highlights black art on each bottle to further their mission of helping BIPOC enter the wine space.
Each bottle features a work of art from , a traveling exhibit featuring historical features and artifacts from 1595 to present day.
I was gifted 4 bottles for my Stock the Bar Party (thank you to who sent them) and I was amazed when I looked into what this wine was about.
I learn something new every day, and you all are a part of that. So, thank you!
⭐ I hope you will join me for the next episode of SIPN'. It airs LIVE right here on IG on June 3rd at 6PM EST

That means today it's time to get some more. So, I figured I'd help you out a little bit by giving yall letters C and D of this here wine list.
Go and support these black owned and made wines. Tell them With C.Jones sent you! 😍

🖤I TOLD YOU🖤
Yesterday I said I had a gift for you all! I wasn't kidding.
Some of you know that I have a pretty extensive list of black owned/made wines, and I want to share that with you.
This is the first little nugget. These are the wines that begin with letters A and B. If you know of any others, please feel free to let me know.
The brands I have tried have an asterisk by them...because..no, I have not tried them all (but I WANT to!).
🛑: Make sure to tag when you drink black owned wine.
🎉: Tune in to my Stock the Bar Party on Saturday, May 22nd at 5PM EST!
💥BIRTHDAY DINNER💥
OK, so my first love was food. I love food. I love enjoying food. And tonight....I thoroughly enjoyed my food.
My mom took me to and seriously everything was delicious.
Honestly, I had never heard of Corduroy before my mom recommended it. But the menu looked like something I could get into so I said yes.
Mom....thank you!
I started with the cabbage soup, then had the asparagus salad with a poached egg, for my main I had the tuna with sushi rice, and for dessert I had the lightest fluffiest chocolate "cake" I've ever tasted (no exaggeration).
What I really love is that the menu had something for everyone. I'm a little more adventurous but if you want chicken (my mom had it, and it was super tender, juicy, and just *chef's kiss*), or steak and potatoes...they have that too.
Highly recommended.
Full review coming soon! So, stay tuned. 😏
🖤B L A C K W I N E M A G I C🖤
This is the wine that started it all. No, seriously, Black Girl Magic Wine and She Can Wine was the first black owned wine I tasted....EVER.
But that's not it. I tasted it LIVE on IG when I tasted for the first time... on what would become my IGTV series, SIPN'.
I don't know what I expected, but I wasn't quite sure I'd end up here. I am ohhh so glad I did though!
HAPPY SIPN'
