Welcome to the team Sierra P***s! Sierra moved to the valley with her puppy Kallie, to work as the newest Designer at Anne Grice Interiors. It is her first winter in Colorado and she is very excited for the snow! She is originally hales from Nebraska, graduated with a degree in Interior Design from University of Nebraska. She most recently had her own interior design firm in Indiana and wanted to move to be closer to her sister and brother, who had already made the smart decision to move to Colorado. Sierra's passion in Interior Design is incorporating sustainability and color into homes and in life she loves being around water, paddle boarding and outdoor adventures.

Word of the Week: Euro Pillow

A Euro pillow is a square shaped European pillow. The standard American pillow measures 20”x26” while a Euro pillow measures 26”x26”. Aside from the shape, the shell and fill material are similar to a bed pillow. Euro pillows are an excellent additional touch to give your bedding depth, extra comfort, and an overall, finalized look.

Word of the Week: Split King

A split king bed consists of two twin XL Mattresses pushed together. A twin XL mattress is 38 by 80 inches, and the two of them together are the size of a king mattress. A split king can be used when partners require different levels of firmness for their mattress and to create a multi-functional room that can be used for a couple or two single people. We recommend putting your split king on casters and buying a long built-in headboard to make it easy and stylish when separating the king bed into two twin mattresses.

Word of the Week: Duvet vs Duvet Cover

Duvet
Duvet- translates to the actual Down Comforter in French. A duvet is a soft flatter version of a comforter made with down, feathers, or synthetic fiber, and is intended to be used as an insert. Most duvets are white in color, not quilted or decorative. Unlike a comforter, its unique pillow-like structure traps heat without weighing you down.

Duvets slip easily inside the removable cover, a bit like a bed pillow in a pillowcase. Snaps, buttons, or ties inside the case keep the duvet in place to create one secure blanket. They’re mainly used to style your duvet and change your bedroom’s look and feel, but they also provide additional warmth and softness and will protect your duvet from stains and tears.

Word of the Week: Door Rosette

A doorknob rosette is the decorative back plate that surrounds the doorknob or lever and covers the hold door. A rosette can be embellished or plain but should match the finish of the doorknob or lever. Rosettes come in a wide variety of shapes such as rectangular, square, round, and oval. Selecting the right interior door hardware is an important but often overlooked step in making a home feel special and unique.
