For anyone who would like to donate, we will set up a box outside of our Doomsday arch for items.

NEW toiletries, socks, sleeping bags, pillows, combs/brushes, hair ties, otc meds/small first-aid kits, etc. Maybe even cards, letters of encouragement? Snacks, bottled water, and so on.
All of these things go a long way.
We'll be sure to take the box to the main donation site in Huntsville.

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the amazing response! THANK YOU! We are honored to be a part of such a generous community! When we posted the need, you immediately jumped into action. We began receiving donations within the hour, and even went to the camps last night to distribute items and help where we could. Based on your generosity, we have the means to meet the immediate needs from this fire. What a praise!!

As we continue to walk alongside these individuals (and hundreds of others across town) in the weeks and months to come, our greatest needs will be funds for continued operations, as well as our daily needs: socks, underwear and hygiene items.

We serve roughly 500 people every single week, day-in and day-out. Tragedies like this bring the need to light, but in reality the need is constant and pressing. We are so thankful for all of our regular donors and all of our new ones who stepped up to this call for action! It's people like you who allow us to do all that we do.
We will continue to serve ALL of those in need throughout Huntsville— we are here for the long-haul!

URGENT NEED!

You may have seen the smoke filling the sky.

The largest camp in the city caught fire due to an exploded propane tank.

We are grateful to report that there were no injuries, but there was still extreme loss.

For those who live there, this is/was their home.

It is very likely that over 100 people have just lost everything that they had.

There will be an urgent need for tents, sleeping bags, blankets and other essentials due to this unfortunate event.

Although their home might look different than yours, the pain and sorrow hits the same. These shelters, pillows, tents and sometimes trash bags of clothes were people's posessions. They had value, they were cherished. It's tough when you lose what you have, even if what you had was little. Please pray for our friends in this stressful time, as many tonight will be looking for a new place to lay their head, without a pillow or a tent, or any of the familiarity that they used to call "home".

We will be out giving showers as usual tomorrow and the rest of the week. If you have any items to donate- you can drop off at any of our events and they will be handed directly to those in need.

*Friendly Reminder for the Swap Meet* 👋

We will have a taped off area specifically for everyone to setup their tables and items. We ask that you make sure to bring folding tables or large towels/blankets to display your items on as we will not have tables to provide for the area.

The swap meet will take place from 8am-12pm, immediately following we will start our walk on games for the day around 12:15pm! We will hold the Battle Royale at 3pm and finish up games for Block A around 5. We will have a giveaway at the end for the winning squad from the Battle Royale so prepare to give it your all!! 🥇
