We have some big news:
I (Becky) have decided to end the product line sector of Pork & Pickles, and focus on classes, events, consulting, and my work with Little Fish Brewing Company, and the soon to be Little Fish Dayton.
I want to thank everyone who has helped make the product line a success over the past six years. I have learned a ton, and been happy to spread the message and flavor of good meat throughout our community.

Over the past year and a half as our world has lived with the reality of COVID-19, what drives me and excites me about food has become very clear. It was in the absence of gathering around the tables, on the farms, and in the kitchens that really brought things to light for me. I missed it, and I'm determined to find safe ways to create it again.
As cool as the product line has been for me, in many ways the commercial production sector of food is the opposite of the passion I have for this industry. It's sterile, it's lonely, and it lacks human connection.
Now don't get wrong, the rigidity and preciseness of a state licensed meat processing facility is for good reason. Government oversight is necessary to ensure we all get safe food when we are purchasing it from retail outlets, but at the end of the day it lacks the romantic and chaotic aspects that made me fall in love with this industry from the beginning.
I've realized my favorite part of my job, in relation to the product line, has been being able to teach and learn from my team. I have been honored to teach quite a few fol
