BOOK LOVE, the bookshop of Senoia
BOOK LOVE is a bookshop located in downtown Senoia. We have a full calendar of events, and a cafe!
To work at Book Love, booksellers need to read at least 5 books a month. These booksellers smashed that number this month! We read so much because we truly enjoy it and to make recommendations and talk books with you!
Here’s our reading wrap up for August!
Chelsea-So many favorites this month! Enchanted Hacienda, The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie, The Night Guest, Buffalo Dreamer, The Reappearance of Rachel Price, A Daughter of Fair Verona and My Salty Mary.
Cristal-Favorite reads of the month:

Sarah-So many good reads this month! My favorite reads of the month:

Melanie- Gosh this was such a great reading month. So hard to choose!!! Horror Movie, Diavola, and my continued love of the John Dies at the End series with This Book Is Full of Spiders. And if teens are looking for a super fun series, my niece recommended The Inheritance Games and I could not stop reading. Addictive! Sheesh I loved Mexican Gothic, youthjuice, and Lady MacB too. Such a fun month!!!
Theresa- my favorite reads were “Lady Macbeth” and “Middle of the Night”. Lady Macbeth is one of my favorite reads so far this year. Also, I learned some fascinating things about the science of bacteria from “I’m so Effing Hungry”. I love a book that I can learn from! Totally recommend!
We love having author Kara Kihm and her book “Discovering My Wings” at the shop today!
Introducing “Story Time with Heroes”! Inspired by the children’s cartoon “Higglytown Heroes”, we will begin a new series for children. Join us at 11:30 on the second Saturday of each month for this unique story time. Each month we will have a hero from our community read stories to the children. Stories will be inspired by the hero’s profession. This is a great even for children 12 and under.
This event is free, however we ask that you call or stop in to sign up, since space is limited.
Over the next few months we will be joined by firefighters, police officers, nurses, and members of the armed forces. If you are a local hero or know someone who is, contact us at [email protected] for story time opportunities.
We look forward to this fun way to bring community together!
Our Summer Author Series went by so quickly! It’s been so fun to meet all of these authors and see them introducing their books to our Book Love community. This weekend we have end the series with author Kara Kihm. Come meet the author and get your book signed!
Kara Kihm’s life has led her on her own journey of healing and self-discovery. Like so many people she has faced unanticipated storms. Following a devastating divorce, she took a sabbatical for one year and drove from Virginia to Alaska — alone. She was seeking answers and pursuing a desire to return to her essence. She surrounded herself with nature in an attempt to discover who she was in this new phase of her life. Her discoveries led to her writing her book.
Laren Ruby writes dystopian and fantasy-inspired stories for teens (and the young at heart). When not writing, you can find her hanging with her husband and fur-kids, watching crime docs, drawing, or tending to her small farm. Transcendent is her debut novel.
We love having author Dr. Milton Davis here signing his books!!! Head over and get your books signed!
