Today, our local Kiwanis Club of Paulding County, Georgia recieved a Humanitarian Award for sponsoring our backpack program which helped provide 70 bags of food each week to students/families in need.

Paulding County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs is hosting it's 21st Annual Touch-a-Truck at Veterans Park on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Bring the family and come have a fun day!

HELP WANTED!!!---HELPING HANDS OF PAULDING COUNTY, INC. IS LOOKING FOR A
PART-TIME ASSISTANT PANTRY MANAGER

Duties include:

The Assistant Pantry Manager works closely with the Pantry Manager and volunteers.
The position requires frequent contact with volunteers (including Community Service
Volunteers), neighbors in need, donors, sponsors, and the general public.
 Ability to lift 30 pounds, learn to correctly use a hand truck, and climb ladders
 Complete pantry cleaning duties such as unloading delivered donations, stock
incoming product, load grocery carts for neighbors, and cleaning pantry/lobby
areas to include the bathroom if there are no volunteers available for cleaning duty
 Experience with Microsoft applications and computers for completion of required
daily and monthly food pantry reports
 Coordinate schedules for all volunteers
 Attend training meetings at The Atlanta Community Food Bank as required
 Ability to communicate and serve neighbors in need with empathy and
compassion
 Work well with persons of varied racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic
backgrounds and with individuals who are differently-abled
 Must be able to adjust work hours/schedule based on HHPC needs for special or
specific projects
 Other necessary duties and responsibilities as assigned by Pantry Manager or the
Executive Director

At tonight's meeting, we got to hear from the ladies at Dallas GA Woman's Club about their upcoming fundraising efforts to restore the historical treasure in Downtown Dallas.

We are looking forward to working together, again!! 😉
We learned tonight that the ladies used to serve meals to the men in the original Dallas Kiwanis Club...way back in the day. 💞

We also packed almost 300 Backpack Buddy bags of weekend food. 😋

It says several phrases from the movie and features the actual voice of Jim Carrey as the Grinch himself. It is a 12" talking doll with Try Me packaging (tested and works!), mint in sealed box and new! This was not released anywhere but Toys "R" Us so it was scarce in the first place and it is pretty rare in such fine condition as this. Just like it was taken off the shelf yesterday.
