What an amazing day we shared for our "More in 24" Project Leader Workshop at Summit Church on Saturday! We had nearly 150 people in attendance and were all inspired by the testimony of Zac, who received a shoebox gift as a child in Fiji. The Baldwin County Year Round Volunteer team worked so hard to make this a special event and we are so grateful to all of you who were able to attend! Our goal for Baldwin County is 18,000 shoebox gifts this year, and I KNOW we can do it!! Let's keep on Packing!!

What a thrill it was today to present the 5 year Award Plaque to Lagoon Baptist Church in Gulf Shores for their faithful service as a Drop Off Location during the past 5 National Collection Weeks! We were blessed to have the two ladies who brought this ministry to their church, Elise Callaway and Phronie Tollett, who was the first Year Round Volunteer and Drop Off Team Leader at Lagoon. Cindy Lansford stepped into that role with the support of her husband Jerry and they have done a great job of managing this DROP OFF for the last three years. Pastor Mike Bowman graciously supports their efforts as we prepare to collect your shoeboxes on Monday, November 18- 25th. Come see us at Lagoon Baptist!

I had the privilege of presenting FBC Loxley, Pastor Brad, and Rita (and Butch) Turner, their Award Plaque from Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child, for 5 years of faithful service, as a Drop Off Church during National Collection Week. Terri Williamson is their Project Leader, and this church has packed 2,333 shoeboxes or "GOSPEL OPPORTUNITIES" over this 5 year period! THANK YOU to an amazing team and church! Can't wait to see what the next 5 years will bring!

Never underestimate the power of this ministry and the shoeboxes! 🙏❤️

A few weekends ago, our team in Ecuador noticed this 11-year-old boy selling candy to help provide for his family while they live in a tent at a nearby park.

Feeling compelled by the Holy Spirit, our team invited him to attend an outreach event. The boy was moved to tears by the Good News and asked Jesus to come into his heart! He also received a tangible expression of God's great love through a shoebox gift.

After the event, the boy told the team that the most impactful part of the day was hearing, "Jesus loves you." ❤

As many of you know, I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Peru and participate in 3 shoebox distributions and observe "The Greatest Journey" lesson # 12. It was a such an inspiring and motivating experience and I would LOVE to share it with you! I have a 15 minute PowerPoint presentation, including 50 photos that will touch your heart. Well I am SO CHALLENGED with Facebook posting!!!!! I have attached a lot of photos that I thought were going into an album - I am SO SORRY for all the posts. These are just some of the photos that I brought home from the incredible, inspiring, motivating and unforgettable Vision Trip I did last week with Operation Christmas Child. We were able to SEE the presentations of the Gospel to these children and their parents who attended the event. We got to TELL the children, "Jesus te ama" - Jesus loves you, as we placed a shoebox gift into their hands. We FELT their joy in getting their first gift, (they were from very poor areas and this was an unbelievable gift for them! ) We EXPERIENCED their amazement, in knowing people who don't even know them, would come all the way to their country to love them, hug them, pray for them and sing /play with them. I cannot express the feelings we all were blessed with. We saw three distributions and then observed the NEXT step of this powerful shoebox gift (or GO BOX as we call it - Gospel Opportunity). We watched the passion of the volunteers and leaders "on the other side of the shoebox" minister to these children, teach them the 12 step discipleship lessons, The Greatest Journey, and work to open more parents' hearts to bringing other children to these events. This is NOT an easy task, but these Pastors and Volunteers and Leadership Teams, pray and weep over these children and their families and work so hard to make this eternal gift available to them all. I have so many more photos and stories and blessings and tears to share with you. I will be happy to share more with you individually - just reach out to me anytime! God is GOOD and I have been so blessed! I left a piece of my heart in Peru. ❤

Day Two was such a blessing!! We saw another shoebox distribution at a rural church and then we sat in on the 12 step discipleship program, The Greatest Journey. The children were so happy to see us and wanted to hug us and have photos and could not believe we would travel from the US to bring them beautiful gifts from strangers. The parents were just as thrilled with the gifts as the children!! These precious girls and boys sang and prayed and memorized bible scriptures. The ministry partners work so hard to make this all happen and we realized that WE have the easy job. We just need to get these amazing teachers more shoeboxes (Gospel Opportunities) so more children can learn about Jesus. 💕💙🙏. Thank you Baldwin County for every child who got to hear the Gospel because YOU packed. 🤗.

More photos from today’s Distribution. These children were receiving things they have never seen and some of them were receiving their first gift 💙💕❤️🙏. The parents heard the Gospel and their children were invited back next week for the 12 step Discipleship class, The Greatest Journey.

Saw our first Distribution today in Lima Peru. We were able to pass out shoeboxes to the children and tell them Jesus loves you! 🙏💕💙. These children are precious and this grandmother was so grateful for our love for their children, she wanted a picture. ❤️ These children love any type of balls and even the little ones were thrilled with a toothbrush!! We ran out of 10-14 year old boxes for boys and girls. Thanks for packing- please keep packing!! 🙏

10 days from today, I have the blessing and privilege of
going to Lima, Peru with Operation Christmas Child to see first-hand what happens on the "other side of the box"! I'll be able to meet our dedicated National Leadership Team & Ministry Partners in Peru and see them in action …teaching the Greatest Journey (our 12-Week Discipleship Program) and witnessing the overwhelming JOY of children receiving Shoebox.

I’m asking for prayer support from my friends and family who believe in the power of prayer:
🙏Last minute preparations
🙏Health (for myself and other team members)
🙏Traveling mercies (on all flights and
in-country)
🙏 Interactions with the children at the distributions and activities.
🙏Opportunities to share my experience with churches and groups who partner & pack shoeboxes! I want to affirm their passion of packing shoeboxes by sharing what the Lord is doing on the other side of the box.
🙏 Most of all, please pray that I will see what God needs me to see and be ready with open eyes, open hears and an open heart!
