Any vaccine has the potential to do both harm and good & it's up to us to weight the risk vs. reward for ourselves & our businesses.

Many business owners who argue FOR the vaccine have valid points:

✨Lowers risk of getting COVID-19
✨Lowers risk of severe effects if infected
✨Less likely to have COVID-19 largely affect business operations and finances
✨Helps stop the pandemic and get our lives back to normal

On the other hand, many business owners who argue AGANIST the vaccine have valid points as well:

‼️It was created quickly and they want to see more data on effectiveness
‼️Honest distrust of pharmaceutical companies & the current presidential administration
‼️Worried about adverse & long-term side effects from taking the vaccine
‼️History of unethical medical experimentation performed on black communities

No matter what side of the debate you are on, one thing is true: COVID-19 has dramatically effected all of us and we all wish it would simply go away. Many things in our industry have changed because of this pandemic.

For the sake of our clients & our businesses, we have to protect ourselves, continue to adopt safe business practices and make the right decisions with the information we have right now.

I just sent my last gallery of 2020 off to my clients and I couldn’t be happier to finally get some rest and begin to plan for an amazing 2021.

My out of office goes on at noon tomorrow til 1/4/21 and my mind is swirling with all the things I plan on doing for myself and my business!

If you know me, you know I was the proud “goody two shoes”. Doing what was expected of me was my thing. I like many of you were raised to go to college, get a degree, get a “good” job with good benefits, stay there for what seems like forever and then retire.
⠀
So that’s what I set out to do. I got the degree and the “good” job with those good benefits. It satisfied me for a few years, but eventually, I wanted more and I couldn’t understand why. I had done the “right thing”, so why wasn’t I satisfied?

I prayed constantly for 5 years for God to show me what I was supposed to do with my life. Little did I know those prayers would carry me to an amazing career I never would have imagined for myself.
⠀
For 3 years, I worked a full time job, came home, took care of my husband and our daughters, then stayed up late at night to build my photography business literally from the ground up.
⠀
I was constantly told I made it look easy but to say I was constantly tired and worn out was an understatement. I knew I wanted to leave corporate america because it no longer served me, but fear always kept me from pulling the trigger.

Well one year ago yesterday, God pulled the trigger for me. I lost my “good” job and decided not to “do the responsible thing” and get another job I knew I would hate. I decided do the thing I really loved and become a full time Photographer.

Let me tell you...IT WAS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME!
⠀
This past year being a full time entrepreneur (in the midst of a pandemic) has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My business has soared and I’ve grown SO MUCH! I am so thankful for my journey and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.

I don’t say this to brag but to inspire you to do what fear is telling you not to. Go where God is telling you to go. Say yes to what fear is holding you back from. I promise, you won’t believe what’s on the other side of your yes!

As an insurance professional in corporate america, I helped owners of small to large corporations understand their insurance needs and presented creative coverage options tailored for their businesses. As the years went by and I started to build a family with my Husband, I began to realize that for the life I wanted to live, corporate america just wasn't for me anymore.
