JUDGE DECISION IS IN! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS. The court has decided that after my perpetrator finishes his cancer treatment in August, there will be a pre-trial on October 15 to make sure we are on track for a trial date going forward which may be around election time. I am satisfied. God’s will was done.

2024 Take the Lead As a participant in this virtual event, you will be trained on the basics of the Florida Legislative Session, how bills are passed, and organizing techniques. You will also hear from legislative leaders about what to expect.
Hello and Happy New Year! We’re excited to be back in the office today and ready to get this election year started.
Despite the opportunity to pass good legislation that improved the lives of ALL Floridians, in 2023 we saw the Republican Supermajority of the Legislature work in tandem with Gov. DeSantis to push a policy agenda that fueled culture wars that gave license to state-sanctioned discrimination, attacked voting rights, and further sought to deny the history and contributions of Black people in our state education system.
While our leaders constantly claim we live in a free state, if you followed the 2023 legislative session you can’t help but question this viewpoint. From denying women the right to choose to limiting what we learn, who we love and what pronouns we use, there is nothing free about having your rights eroded. We know what’s needed to defeat this type of hate and we can’t do it alone! We look forward to working with you!
Join us, voting rights organizations, Bill Sponsors (Sen. Geraldine Thompson & Rep. Lavon Bracy-Davis), elected officials, community partners, and other key stakeholders for a rally in support of The Harry T. and Harriette V Moore Florida Voting Rights Act.
MONDAY MORNING MANNA.
Let’s start the week off right by practicing mind renewal.
Today’s announcement from Gov. Ron DeSantis doesn’t come as a surprised given the fact that the campaign has failed to gain momentum since the very day it launched. Florida residents are still in the governors crosshairs and still have to live with the laws he created in an attempt to gain national recognition for his own political ambition. Like his campaign the Florida legislature should not fail to stand up against this governor and take Florida back under control. This is an important time to address the real issues of housing, education, safety, economic disparities and so much more with a month and a half left in the Florida Legislative session. Floridians need relief not a Governor who will be reeling from a loss with plans to continue to set Florida ablaze. - Jasmine Burney-Clark
