It has been a very busy past few week but I wanted to share that we have added pressure and low pressure washing to our tool belt.

Dirty Ducts is officially 4 months old today.

I had a job last week that we were going to clean the dryer cent on.

Upon inspection, it was found that someone had installed the cheapest flex pipe from the dryer all the way out of the house.

I was able to get it replaced with hard pipe and back up and running in a couple of hours.

Last week, we had a customer call us to do a simple dryer vent cleaning. When I arrived the customer explained that the dryer vent terminated on the roof, so I went to work. When I got up there I noticed there wasn’t a dryer vent cap on the roof so I had the customer turn on the dryer to check all the caps for airflow.
It was determined that the roofer that put the new roof on some years ago had installed an improper vent cove that wasn’t serviceable.
I contacted Elite Roofing and Restoration to install a proper cap.
The second and third pictures are what was found under the old cover.
Once the new vent cap was installed, I was able to go back out the following day and clean the vent from the dryer to the roof.
The customer had explained that he had the dryer vent “cleaned” multiple times by other companies in the past.
This was years of buildup and very lucky that it only cause burnt up dryers and not a house fire.

This house was only 2 years old and kept immediately clean, but we were still able to make a big difference in the air quality.
