For my birthday this year, I gifted myself a childhood dream actualized. I decided to love myself deeply enough to take a chance on something I was once consistently discouraged from doing. I surrendered to the painful process of coming undone so that I could be restructured, rewired, and realigned. Y’all know I’m SO good for taking a break. 😂 However, this one…isn’t just for me. It’s for us.
This new season of my life is requiring me to practice presence, to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground. As a creative, I practically live in my mind because I’m always coming up with new ideas, content, etc. so actually living in the moment has me looking like “who done it and why?” sometimes.

As a creative, remaining inspired is essential! The reality is that sometimes, creative blockages happen. 🤷🏾‍♀️⁠⁠⁠⁠
Here are 4 habits that I practice to remain inspired:⁠⁠
1. Pray and meditate. I am reminded daily that I am because God is. Creativity is a God-given gift, and understanding why we create is equally important as how or what we create. ⁠⁠⁠⁠
2. Talk it out. Good, healthy conversation on a variety of topics with friends, family, and even colleagues can spark a sense of inspiration to keep the creativity flowing.⁠⁠⁠⁠
3. Write it out. Grab that journal, and get your thoughts and ideas out of your head and in front of your face so that you can visually see what your mind may be prompting you to do.⁠⁠⁠⁠
4. Give myself a break. Because sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all! Take a moment to rest and breathe out.⁠⁠⁠⁠

I’ve experienced highs. I’ve experienced lows. I’ve had great days, and I’ve had not-so-great days. Some days, I won. Other days, I learned (because a loss is merely a lesson, right?).
Whether high or low, great or not-so-great, I learned the art of GRACE and to always keep peace in my heart and joy in my back pocket.
That’s the thing about creating. Some days you’re inspired and productive. Other days, you’re overwhelmed and exhausted. On both days though, give yourself grace. Give yourself a break. Play. Rest. Relax. Whatever you do, just don’t give up. The world needs your creativity. 💪🏾

Healing my relationship with money has been nothing short of challenging. I am peeling back layers upon layers of previous conditioning and outdated beliefs surrounding finances that my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. have held for lifetimes.⁠⁠⁠⁠
I had to acknowledge the fact that my ancestors did the best they could with what they had and what they knew, and there is absolutely no shame in that. I honor their experience while also holding space for my own truth.⁠⁠⁠⁠
Hustling and grinding isn't success for me. Keeping my head down and "take a licking and keep on ticking" is NOT success for me. You can't talk to me or handle me any ordinary way for any amount of money, and that's on my Mudear!⁠⁠⁠⁠

So, this happened yesterday. 😌 This relaunch wasn’t an easy feat for me though.
I was spiritually led to relaunch my website on 12.12.2020. The weeks leading up to yesterday involved stress, discouragement, indecision, and the normal technical difficulties (like the Internet going out in my area the day before relaunching! 😠). Needless to say, there were many moments where I opted to either push the relaunch date back or not relaunch at all.
Saturday morning came around, and I found just enough inspiration to complete what I started, even if that meant that I didn’t relaunch until 11:59 PM! I was determined, and while I managed to secure every loose end about an hour before the day ended, I didn’t rush to social media to make an announcement. Instead, I celebrated. I celebrated every single step that I took to arrive here. I celebrated every single time that I pushed past doubt or insecurity to begin actualizing the vision God gave me. I celebrated every single time I ignored my inner critic and even the voices outside of me to continue pressing in the direction that I knew God was leading me in. I didn’t make an announcement. Instead, I praised. I worshipped. I celebrated.
Brianna Michelle Brand is just the beginning of a long journey of pursuing the dreams I have held dear since I was a little girl. I can’t wait to share just a piece of my world with you all as I continue to build a world renowned brand. In the words of the late Biggie Smalls, “...I got a story to tell.” 😉 Welcome to Chapter 01.

I also have journals for different purposes: a prayer journal, a release journal, a nag journal, etc. there is POWER in the tongue, and spelling is a spell. what’s on your heart today? what thoughts have been weighing heavily on your mind? write it down, pray about it, and prepare to see God move miraculously in your life. ❤️
