Decolonizing Wealth Project proudly presents Alight, Align, Arise: A National Conference on Repair. This groundbreaking event will bring together individuals from the reparations ecosystem, including organizers, funders, academics, economists, and more to engage in critical conversations about the past, present, and future of reparations in the United States.

We're thrilled to announce our lineup of esteemed speakers, including Reverend Doctor Jaqui Lewis (), Erica Alexander (), Ta-Nehisi Coates, Nikole Hannah-Jones (), Nkechi Taifa (), Kamm Howard (), Dreisen Heath (.heath), Rob Thomas (), Maurice Mitchell (), Dr. Cheryl Grills, Jean Pierre Brutus (), Kwesi Chappin ( and ) and more! My mom would alway say, “Faithy, the race is not given to the swift, but to those determined to never quit.” Those words have come to life for me over the years, and have taken on even more power over the last few months! We started planning for the “race” in August, knowing the stakes were high and the opps were prepared to do everything in their power to take us out. So we strategized and decided to combat hate with love, and sorrow with joy, because in the words of Dr. King, “hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” So we locked in and traveled the country spreading, and empowerment.... and guess what!?!? We WON every time ✊🏾🖤🎉 I am soooooo honored, so proud, so humbled to work with a team of fellow leaders who do the work, implement the strategy and create the change! Thank you so much to everyone involved in this past Sunday’s event.... Atlanta you showed up and showed out again, in the cold, at the top of the year you came to share in the joy and I love and appreciate you all so much for that! We methodically planned and produced the event to provoke thought, emotion, and self awareness. We wanted you to consider the issues of humanity, specifically, minorities at every turn and we did that through art installations curated by the ever present who handpicked every artist including: and through tech installations that catapulted you into the epicenter of what it's like to live as a black or brown person in America everyday.

We carefully developed each panel to include topics like "Leadership in the digital era"
"Creating a culture of diversity and inclusion in tech"and
"Community building, economic empowerment & opportunity online" our panelists included Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, President Rashad Robinson,

to name only a few.

There's so much more work to do, and with that said, I am thankful. I am humbled. I am ready.

Today was a good day😉 Thank you so much to the dynamic team and to the innovators and inspiration behind it all and the stars have truly aligned🌠

: So one of my first jobs out of college was working for this beautiful soul, as she ventured out on "Faith" to start her private jet company. When we met, we connected instantly, and with NO experience in the private jet space at ALL, she still took a chance on me! We were two girls with dreams, and although she was much further along in her endeavors at that time, she embraced me, and exposed me to everything she knew. We sat in her upstairs home office in true "start-up" fashion and grinded it out, while laughing, crying and day dreaming about the possibilities! We became family and that's because she led her business from her heart! Lisa taught me that entrepreneurship is literally "Fight or Flight", there was no time for fear or insecurity when working with high net-worth millionaires and billionaires. I'm so thankful that she wasn't afraid to show me the ropes, and the art of creating value within a transaction, I'm so thankful that she took me to business meetings with her to close deals, and that we toured and analyzed jets, I'm thankful that with all her heart and soul she paid it forward to a young twenty year old, that would eventually be so inspired to take her own "leap of Faith" to start a company. I could go on and on, but the point is to always lead with your heart, to always reach back and take a risk and believe in other people, and to believe in your ability to soar no matter what you're starting with, or how you start!
