Master Deputy N. Butler received a Life-Saving award from Gwinnett County Police for assisting Officers with an individual experiencing a su***de crisis. A military veteran suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder felt that this was his only option. Upon arrival, Gwinnett Police Officers built a rapport with him while Deputy Butler and other responding officers assisted in exhausting all safety measures to ensure the preservation of life. Through their outstanding teamwork and selfless service, this individual's life was saved and taken to receive medical assistance.

We are appreciative of the outpouring of support from our community as we give respect and appreciation for all Law Enforcement Officers serving across the nation.
Congratulations to Mark Lunceford and Steve Baptista on your recent retirement! You have served Gwinnett County and the Sheriff’s Office well. Mark, with almost 25 years of service, and Steve, with eight years of service, will be greatly missed. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to ensuring that our facilities always remained fully functional and operational. Join us in wishing them well and happy retirement.

Thank you Oak Road Lutheran Church for inviting us to your Touch a Truck event this past weekend. The Community Outreach Section enjoyed spending the afternoon showcasing their patrol vehicles with the citizens of Gwinnett and engaging with you. The children enjoyed testing the sirens and intercoms as well! We look forward to another fun event with you in the future.
