Partners in Advertising Education, Inc.
Partners in Advertising Education was established in 1998 to provide scholarships to deserving students at Miami Ad School.
We are celebrating a very special day today! Miami Ad School’s founder, Ron Seichrist was born today! This year for his birthday, Ron decided to raise money for deserving MAD students: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1014103585789298
“When I was a senior in high school I thought somehow I would be able to go to college. I loved learning. But my parents were poor immigrants, so it wasn’t going to be possible. I was dejected, morose. I confided this information to one of my teachers. She said to meet her Saturday morning in front of Overton’s Market at 6am. I did. She introduced me to the owner of the supermarket, Mr. Overton. He was a little man in a bowtie with a gruff, unfriendly voice. “Ronnie Seichrist. Your teachers told me about you. I will send you to college and pay all your expenses. But you can never get less than a B, although I expect more than that. And you must make one promise. That someday you will send somebody else’s child to college. Yes or no!” That was the total conversation. Years later, I discovered that he had anonymously sent 27 other poor kids to college.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to live up to my promise to him many times over. For my birthday this year, it would give me great pleasure if you would help me continue to deliver on this promise by contributing to Miami Ad School’s non-profit scholarship fund, Partners in Advertising Education. Like Mr. Overton, we are focusing this scholarship where the need is greatest, both in the community and in the industry by giving scholarships to talented minority students in need of financial assistance.
Facebook and MAD do not have any fees associated with this fund, so you can be assured that 100% of your donation will go to the scholarships. So make my birthday memorable for both me and, more importantly, promising MAD students.” - Ron Seichrist, founder of Miami Ad School / MAD School of Ideas
Happy birthday, Ron! Please donate today. Any amount is appreciated: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1014103585789298
Remember Asia? She's one of our Minority Scholarship recipients who recently landed the perfect position a couple of months after graduation. Read about her journey while obtaining her education at MAD and how she earned the position at VaynerMedia.
MAD Atlanta grad Asia Burrell is making moves as a Creator at VaynerMedia.
In June 2020, she had an opportunity to speak with Gary Vaynerchuk and Shane Battier during Gary’s content series. In that episode, they talked about Leading Courageously—something that Asia had been very familiar with throughout her time as a student at MAD. You can check out that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QvPuC3JIT0
Asia graduated in September 2020 and has since been hired as a Creator at VaynerMedia. She is a perfect example of how perseverance, hard work, and leadership can get you places that you would never imagine.
Here’s what she had to say about her experience at MAD:
"My journey, like other students before me, hasn't been easy at all. I've had to work overnight jobs: retail, the foodservice industry, etc., but one thing that I've always held on to is that one day my dream would come true.
Today, my dream has come true! During my first week at work, I helped my new team with a spot for the Super Bowl. First Job, First Day, First Superbowl...all in the first week.." - MAD September 2020 grad, Asia Burrell
Introducing Caleb Fils-Aime, a Copywriting graduate who was a youth mentor before joining Miami Ad School.
“Before Miami Ad School, I spent a lot of time being a youth mentor at the First Haitian Church in Miami. Mentoring junior high school students with personal & professional development through teaching life skills & implementing programs that would benefit their future endeavors. Storytelling is the basis of what I do. Sure, concepting, ideating, strategic marketing—it all comes with the territory, but truly, at the heart of what I do is tell stories. The Disney brand cemented its legacy with lots of great stories. I help continue that magic by captivating writing that align with various brand voices & styles."
Caleb is currently an Associate Copywriter at Disney’s Yellow Shoes. Keep the magic alive, Caleb! We are proud of you!
Thanks to generous donations made by individuals and company sponsorships, more minority students have been able to attend Miami Ad School in the past three years. We need your assistance—and donations—so we can continue to educate more creative minds.

It was not an easy road, but she never complained. Whenever she needed inspiration, she would spend time looking at previous grads on our famous wall to remember her 'why'. Today, her determination is paying off. Asia, we are proud of you. Your picture will be on the famous wall soon!
