BIG NEWS - We did a major system update which in addition to new features includes a new FREE Basic plan!!

Rolled out infrastructure updates and new direct-to-AmazonS3 photo uploads for leaders, banners, spirit flags and group photos to CoolCubs, ScoutLodge & GirlScoutPages.

Big deployment last night to CoolCubs, ScoutLodge and GirlScoutPages! We have added multi-photo upload, sortable bulletin boards, a visually enhanced calendar and improved mobile web support. All on a faster, more secure technology platform.

Lots of big news coming including (hint hint) a photo feature we get requests for alllllll the time!

On the functionality side, we recently implemented a change (clients asked for this) so that when a user logs out, they are redirected to the unit home page rather than the domain home page. Next up is multiple file upload, also a popular request!

Bear with us while we finish up working on a unified code base (recently completed move to Ruby 2.0.0-p353 and Rails 3.2.18 as part of that effort).

"Co-leader" support has now been deployed to ScoutLodge .....

Today we have rolled out “co-leader” support for Dens. Some Dens have a true “co-leader” structure where the leadership responsibility is shared. CoolCubs now supports this structure by allowing administrators to enter information for both leaders, and information about both leaders will be displayed on the Den-specific web page. CenterTrail is proud to introduce this feature, which is the result of requests from our loyal subscribers.

Boys' Life magazine

Those using our sites will see our April 2014 Boy's Life review - we're posting it here for everyone else.

Fishing, Baseball, the Hornaday Silver Medal, and more!

The April 2014 Boys' Life is the annual fishing edition that features secrets in landing large bass. It also has articles on how to earn the fishing and fly-fishing merit badges. A very interesting article has to do with what its like to be a bat boy in major league baseball a dream of many youth!! This magazine also has an interesting article on the human brain along with how to earn a very prestigious but little known Scout award called the Hornaday Silver Medal. There are also articles on the best flashlights on the market and how to create your own stenciled custom t-shirts. An excellent information packed edition.

As part of our recent overhaul, GirlScoutPages and ExplorerPosts received the features they were missing (which are already in our other platforms): Event Invitations by e-mail, Supply List tracking for events and RSVP/Headcount tracking for events.

Center Trail LLC recently launched a complete overhaul of CoolCubs, ScoutLodge, ExploredTrail, GirlScoutPages, and ExplorerPosts, which includes a more scalable technology platform, a contemporary design for the scouting unit websites, a streamlined website administration interface, and an exciting new E-Mail Blaster feature that allows unit leadership to send e-mails to all registered members of their scouting community, or to select sub-groups. The new technology platform and the e-mail blast capability pave the way for many more unit-to-community
features to come.
