We are so thankful to see foster youth light up at our annual Christmas party.
"I’ve never been to an event like this and you guys have blessed us so much. My foster son is completely non-verbal (he was a teen boy, big kid) and he doesn’t respond to anything.' She goes on to tell me that she was amazed at how he was laser focused in on the Christmas program and when the SHINE team raised their arms to praise Jesus, he did the same. And when your team bowed their heads to pray, he did the same. And he had a smile on his face the whole time. He had not responded like that to anything else."
We throw an annual Christmas Party where foster youth who participate in our annual events can reconnect with friends and mentors. This year we had more than 300 children, teens, foster parents, volunteers and partners celebrate with us. Learn how you can make a difference in the lives of foster youth.

This past Friday night at our Celebration Banquet, we made an exciting announcement ... Kids Cubed is now Waymark!! We felt it was time for our name to reflect the heart of our ministry as well as the age of the population we serve. A huge thank you to Watchword Brand for their expertise and passion for helping us communicate our heart more effectively! We are truly excited about the future of this ministry and the impact it is going to continue to have on the lives of youth in foster care! Stay tuned as we transition social media accounts so you can stay "in the loop!" Check out the info below regarding the reason for our change as well as our new program names.

Our Xtreme Life Weekends were an incredible time of encouragement, hope and laughter! Grateful for the teens we had the privilege of serving. Praying they walked away from the weekend knowing how much they are loved and valued with a future full of HOPE! We are always blown away by their transparency and willingness to let us into their lives even if it is for a short time. We are excited that many of our volunteers have expressed interest in becoming a mentor for their camper. The ongoing, consistent involvement of a caring adult is so important and impactful. Keep an eye out for camper comments and pictures from the weekends! Thank you to all who gave, served and prayed!!
We still have some openings at our "FREE" Xtreme Life Weekend for teen boys in foster care or those considered "at-risk" during the weekend of October 19-21! This amazing young lady, a former camper/mentee, represented Kids Cubed at a grant presentation ceremony with the True Vine Foundation this past Sunday. So proud of you, Marykate, and so grateful to the True Vine Experience Foundation for your generosity!
Julie just spoke with a camper’s foster mom who said that she is a changed girl since coming back from camp. They have never seen her with so much confidence!! She wore her mirror image shirt to school today and she can’t stop talking about how great Camp was!
Love hearing from our families about the difference the weekend makes in the lives of these kids! 😀
On the agenda today at Xtreme Life ... Chapel, high and low ropes courses, football, hip-hop, art, roundtable sessions, spa time, & s’mores!!!! Can’t wait!!

Our last Xtreme Life training is this Sunday, from 2-6pm at North Metro Church in Marietta. We still need 6 men in order to take 40 boys. We have enough women for 40 girls, but more are signing up so we could use a couple more women as well! Spread the word and please ask me if you have any questions! :) The Girls' Weekend is October 5-7 and the Boys' Weekend is October 19-21.

Xtreme Life training today! Can’t wait to see everyone and prepare for our weekends in October!! It’s not too late to join us at 8am in B100 at FBCW!
Xtreme Life training is tomorrow at FBCW (B100) from 8am-12:15 for returning volunteers and 8am-2pm for new volunteers. We still need 10 more women and 15 more men to serve as Big Campers! Your role is to show two teens in foster care that they are loved, valued and that God has a purpose and plan for their lives. It truly is an incredible weekend. Please consider being a part of it! If you have a conflict with the training date, let me know. The girls' weekend is Oct 5-7 and the boys' weekend is Oct 19-21.
Would you like an opportunity to change the life of a teen in foster care? Consider serving as a Big Camper (counselor) at one of our Xtreme Life weekends (Girls: Oct 5-7; Boys: Oct 19-21). Big Campers are responsible for showing 2 teens the love of Christ and participating in camp activities with them. Activities include low and high ropes courses, Chapel, football, dance, art, "Spa time" and offsite camping for our 16-17 year olds, birthday parties, team games, and the list goes on! Please let me know if you want more info. The more Big Campers we have, the more teens we can take!
THANK YOU Cobb EMC Community Foundation for your generous support of our Xtreme Life Weekend Camps! We truly value your partnership and are so grateful for your investment in these teens' lives!!
We need Sunday school classes and other groups to consider writing letters/cards to our Xtreme Life teens (12-17 yr olds in foster care). They love getting their mail each day at camp! Please let me know if you are interested and I can send you the instructions. If anyone is interested in heading this up, that would be great as well!
