a wonderful new program connected to our Kids Yoga school
The SEEDS Program brings Pranakriya Yoga beyond the studio and into schools.
Here’s what one attendee had to say about their experience: “Pranakriya provided Professional Development and yoga classes for my teachers. The Pranakriya staff were knowledgeable and utilized their experiences as public school teachers to provide real life examples. My teachers expressed that having a yoga class before the school day helped them start their day more regulated and allowed them to be better teachers all day long.”

exciting developments regarding the retreat next year
UPDATE!
We are excited to announce our next international retreat… We are going back to Boquete, Panama, the lovely highland area known for coffee, its gorgeous natural environment, and, of course, it’s home to Yoganand and Elzy!
Join us for 5 days of practice, community, nature, reflection, exploration, food, and fun! The yoga program will be led by Usha Lakshmi and Kim Murphy, with participation by Yoganand.
UPDATE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ABOUT THE REGISTRATION:
We had initially announced the registration date for next week, but there have been some exciting (great!) developments that have led to some potential changes in the retreat from what we initially anticipated.
My 300-hour Pranakriya education, and being in community with all of you every day, have taught me to trust my intuition, change course without self-judgment when that is what feels best, be transparent and open about a need to consider a course-correction, and to move ahead intentionally without grasping or pushing too hard.
To that end, and with the awareness of just how important and yet challenging it can be to live our yoga off the mat, I am taking a little extra time to consider some new opportunities that have come our way. In so doing, I have confidence that Pranakriya will offer you the best retreat experience possible. Please stay tuned for a new retreat registration date coming soon.
We are eager to get this retreat out into the open, but also know that good things come to those who wait and consider new opportunities intentionally in order to provide the level of excellence to which Pranakriya always strives. Thank you all for your interest and patience.
Jai Bhagwan! - Betsy
Atlanta yogis, Pranakriya will be offering an advanced asana program of Gentle yoga July 19-21 at Evolation in Midtown. I took this course online in June of 2020, but I selfishly want to take it in person with Amy Necci. Please think about it. You don't have to be part of our 300-hour program. We welcome teachers from any tradition for this kind of training.
still time to sign up for this one, led by Pam and Usha. A good way to reconnect with Pranakriya, if it's been a while. We would love to see you and want to support advanced practitioners

By firmly grasping the flower of a single virtue, a person can lift the entire garland of yama and niyama.
~ Swami Kripalu
Through reading, practice and self-observation, explore how the yamas and niyamas show up in your life today. Many of us have studied these foundational concepts during teacher training or considered them more casually, but have we looked at ourselves through their lens recently?
As we progress in our daily personal practice, and for some, in leading yoga for others, taking a look at these guiding tenets of the yogic lifestyle can help us understand what comes up through the stirring of prana, and look at ourselves with curiosity and fresh eyes. The revisiting of the yamas and niyamas from time to time allows us to carve out time to engage in this important self-observation without judgment, in an effort to strengthen our own container and live in our own truth.

Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
Early Bird Savings through December 15th
To practice yoga safely, we study human anatomy to better understand how to move, engage and position our muscles and bones. For many yoga students, however, anatomy is a daunting and confusing topic.
This course creates an experiential environment to study your own body and your own asana practice while learning the language of anatomy, applied to your own body. We will review safe range of motion for all the body’s joints and name the major muscles that create those actions. We will also explore how we can train our eye to see more accurately others’ anatomy and movement pattern.
All practices and activities in this program aim to help you experience, discuss and perhaps enhance your body’s abilities for safe and conscious movement. Lectures will be offered to describe how the nervous system and the body’s muscles and skeleton work together to create safe strengthening and lengthening of the muscles.
We invite yoga teachers and practitioners from all traditions to join us for this program. This course is part of the core curriculum for Pranakriya’s 300-hour advanced yoga teacher certification program. This course provides all teachers 20 YA CEUs.

Join us for one of our 300-hour program modules: "Deepening the Asana Experience: Asanas for Meditative Posture 2" either in-person at Crofton Yoga, or via Zoom for a live virtual experience.
Many of us know how to DO advanced asanas, but how to you feel about TEACHING them? Learn how to break down the postures into their pieces so you can teach them to your students, design appropriate warm-ups to get students ready for these more difficult postures, develop themes that relate to your peak posture for the class, and explore variations to make these asanas more accessible OR more challenging. Deepening our own practice of asana and making our classes richer and more satisfying for our students requires us to be on a continual journey into the inquiry and exploration of how the body moves.
Asanas for Meditative Posture 2: Angled Shoulder Stand, Balancing Posterior Stretch, Bow/Bow variations, Fish variations, Inclined Plane, Locust, Seated Twist variations, Peacock, Side Boat, Upward-Facing Boat
We invite yoga teachers and practitioners from all traditions to join us for this program in our signature style: meditative posture. This course helps satisfy the requirement of 3 advanced asana courses for Pranakriya’s 300-hour advanced yoga teaching certification program, or may be used for additional elective credit for that program. 20 YA CEUs.

We were present at Kripalu in the summer. We set up a retreat for April 2023 in Panama.
