Our visionary founder, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, is now a Georgia Sports Hall of Fame inductee!

His name is Re*****on Christoff Clyde. He is a graduating senior at Banneker High School in College Park, GA.


His graduation date is May 16, 2024.

He will attend college and major in Information Technology. He has received several early admission acceptance letters. He has not yet decided which university/college he will be attending in the fall. H applied to more than 8 schools.

The Future Foundation staff provided meaningful connections with each scholar in the program. This connection embodies assurance, mutual respect, genuine interest, trust, positive perspective, and making the scholars feel valued. We are grateful for the Future Foundation, Inc. This program motivated Re*****on to improve academically and socially and develop his interpersonal skills. He has a more positive perspective on receiving an education, is determined not to be late for class, school attendance is a priority, and he has embraced the concept of class participation. Overall, Re*****on began to develop healthier relationships with family and friends and began to make better lifestyle choices. In general, Future Foundation does not only enhance the individuals (scholars) involved, but FF significantly influences scholars' lives at home, at work, and in their communities." Ms. Lumpkins, Remy's adult cousin with whom he resides.

An advocate of Mental Health, Equal Rights and partner to her husband sitting side by side with him in White House meetings, long before it was customary for women to be welcomed there as colleagues. Future Foundation would like to salute the memory and work of activist, author and humantarian, First Lady Rosalyn Carter. We send our condolences to the 39th President of the United States of America Jimmy Carter, the Carter Family, and the Carter Center.

Thank you again Dr. Meredith Evans, Archivist and Director of Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum for spending time with our staff and touring summer programming youth. Your insight into President Carter and his wife's legacies encouraged our youth to
seek for partnerships in their personal and professional lives to contribute to, and share achievements in life.

Last night was a great evening. Our CEO, Ronnette Smith attended the United Way of Greater Atlanta in DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett VIP Fair alongside Lexie Linger of Successful Nonprofits who is leading Future Foundation, Inc. Board Recruitment efforts.

Shout out to Janice Robinson and her United Way of Greater Atlanta VIP leadership team for annually hosting this affair intented to match and support nonprofits with leaders ready to actively engage and support missions chose to their heart's passion.

Over the years, hundreds of great leaders have been trained on the nuances of building and maintaining dynamic boards through the United Way's VIP program training.

When we discover treasures in our backyard, our senses are awakened and imagination is spurred. There is little more exciting than possibilities.

This is what we desire for our youth. We know if they can see it, they can aspire to be it.

A tour of the Johnson STEM Activity Center does the trick. Dr. Lonnie Johnson is an aerospace engineer, American inventor and entrepreneur who is the inventor of The Super Soaker. He has over 120 patents including inventions that have been sent into outer space.

The Johnson STEM activity center is a treasure and gives children an opportunity to explore the world of robotics, virtual reality and EA sports.

Our Interim Program Director, Jennifer Person is pictured with Dr. Johnson, and the Johnson Center staff, United Way of Greater Atlanta staff and members of the community.

We want to thank United Way of Greater Atlanta in DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett for its support, partnership with Future Foundation, other nonprofits and leadership within the Greater Atlanta Community.
