Muhammad Ali (1942-2016) was an American former heavyweight champion boxer and one of the greatest sporting figures of the 20th century. An Olympic gold medalist and the first fighter to capture the heavyweight title three times, Ali won 56 times in his 21-year professional career. Ali’s outspokenness on issues of race, religion, and politics made him a controversial figure during his career, and the heavyweight’s quips and taunts were as quick as his fists.
Born Cassius Clay Jr., Ali changed his name in 1964 after joining the Nation of Islam. Citing his religious beliefs, he refused military induction was stripped of his heavyweight championship, and banned from boxing for three years during the prime of his career. Parkinson’s syndrome severely impaired Ali’s motor skills and speech, but he remained active as a humanitarian and goodwill ambassador.
Ali had the honor of lighting the cauldron during the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. In 1999 Ali was voted the BBC’s “Sporting Personality of the Century,” and Sports Illustrated named him “Sportsman of the Century.” Ali was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a 2005 White House ceremony, and in the same year the $60 million Muhammad Ali Center, a nonprofit museum and cultural center focusing on peace and social responsibility, opened in Louisville.

For years we have been made to sacrifice our time, our health, our creativity, and freedom for the sake of building everyone and everything around us. However, our greatest power lies within and reclaiming your inner strength, your peace of mind, your time, heart, creativity, dreams, and personal development and health is a form of activism!

I am excited to announce that my client Hope Cheeks, will host her very first Menopause Wellness Retreat for us “Hotties”🔥🔥🔥 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico October 12-16. We have ONE space left and if you missed our interview on FB earlier, you can check it out on my wall.

Since consulting Hope, I’ve watched her take some hard hits and carry this mission even when others didn’t. I’ve seen her navigate change. I’ve seen her serve the community and I LOVED hearing her dedicate the entire month of January to Sobriety and a daily self love walk. She truly walks the walk and not only is she my client and Soror, she is my mentor and friend. Hope didn’t hesitate to invest in our Champion Circle for Women on a Mission and I thank her for trusting us with such a large investment. We’ve worked together all year and I’m honored to serve at her first retreat and engage with the beautiful ladies who will join us.

It’s no secret that I’m very protective of those I’m assigned to. We don’t need any distractions throwing them off their path because too many lives are tied to their assignments! Protect what you value. Invest in genuine support. Celebrate each new decision and each small step.
