Although they require adequate sunlight, I’ve read they can grow even in cooler zones although growth does slow below 60 degrees and certainly can’t be below 40. So bring indoors next to the window once your weather starts to cool!
Here we are using cardboard to create an air layer above the ground for the roots. Because they are air plants they don’t need much soil and they seem to like this method, yet not at all the only way to grow them!
We use pineapple shoots from previous years plants which cut almost 1 year or so off the growth period. So the sooner you plant a pineapple the sooner you can have more! Get after it kiddos! 💪🏾🍍💛
