I know it's 2.35am but I had to share. I have to share what I've learnt. It's of no value if I keep it to myself.

Midlifer stop using your age to prevent you from getting what you deserve and what you want. You might not say it out loud but you are thinking it.

Thoughts like "Everyone gains weight when you age", "With menopause comes weight gain that's normal", "This is how a real woman (whatever that means) looks", etc

How about thinking differently and being open to doing things that aren't normal to get what you truly want? How about a body you love that feels like home? For some of you this doesn't apply to you but for others you know exactly what I mean. You feel at odds with your body, almost as if you're living in someone else's body and you're not sure why.

Over the last few weeks I've been working on developing a Weight Loss Program specifically for Midlifers. I’m so excited about it and I’m offering it to 20 women. A program that takes our unique aspect (female, age, hormones) into account and at a special price. I’m incorporating some new tools and merging them with the tried-and-tested tools I’ve used in the past.

You can live anywhere on the globe, however this program isn’t for everyone. If you’re interested you have to meet the following criteria to participate

1) You have to be a woman in Midlife (45 years and up).
2) You have to be fully committed for 6 weeks.
3) You have to do everything in the program (assignments, protocol, food journal, etc).
4) You are very serious about losing weight and keeping it off for good.
5) You are comfortable working in a group with other like-minded women

This program is limited to 20 women ready to do the work in 2019 to get results.

It won't be easy but it's so worth it.

Holiday parties, wrapping Christmas gifts, family gatherings, decorating the tree and so many other holiday related activities can be fun however in some cases it can be overwhelming and stressful.

I love the holidays season but the perfectionist in me (I'm still a work-in-progress in that department) would demand that the Christmas dinner be made from scratch, decorations be put up by thanksgiving and a host of other self-imposed rules. The holidays turned from being a joyful occasion to a stressful production with me as the director and wondering why family members were not playing their role.

Resentment would kick in and I would walk around expecting help without asking but expecting them to read my mind and know what to do. I laugh when I think about those days. Read my mind really??

A few years ago I realized (coaching helped me) that I imposed those on myself and I was responsible for my own actions based on the choices that I made.

Exercise your right to make a choice that serves you in a way that's healthy for your well-being.
In the last four years the holidays have been very different. Some years I've put up a tree and sometimes I decorate and sometimes I've just had lights twinkling.

For holiday gatherings I've catered all or some items or picked up some items from Wholefoods. My sanity and wellbeing is valuable so I decided to make a choice on how I spent my time over the holidays.

This year my husband put up the Christmas tree and the lights. My older son and I are going to decorate it later tonight while watching Elf.

My friends take the time to preserve your sanity and well-being during the holiday season.
