Believe it or not, it is only five weeks until our deadline of November 5, 2024, to get our Christmas Sponsors commitments for this year. Providing Christmas gifts to Hall County Foster children and youth is our mission and we need your help to make that happen for the over 250 children in the foster system presently here in Hall County. Whether you sponsor Christmas lists for a child, provide gift cards for our youth, or just give a donation, every little bit helps provide the best Christmas possible to show these great kiddos how much they are loved. Visit our website at www.hallishomeforkids.com for all the details on how to get involved.

Thank you to all our Christmas Elves over these last seven years. We know there are so many needs in our community and we are humbled and honored that you have selected Hall is Home for Kids to suspport. Please consider our organization again!

We have had an increase in request for assistance at Christmas from families wanting Christmas gifts for their children. Hall is Home for Kids mission is to support foster children who have an open DFCS case in Hall County. We are presently looking for additional resources for families that are not involved in a child welfare case. To that end here is the link to Toys for Tots. https://gainesville-ga.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/default.aspx?nPageID=0&nPreviewInd=0&nRedirectInd=3

There is a space at the Lakeshore Mall that is being prepared to accept donations and provide toys. It is not open yet, but an application for receiving gifts is on their website.

We will continue to post additional resources as we find them.

PS Even though the link says Object Moved, it hasn’t, just click on link and it will take you to the Gainesville chapter.

Yesterday was epic at the Hall is Home for Kids Christmas Celebration. So many to thank so we will just say "thank you" because you know who you are!! We don't have a final accounting but we had at least 300 foster kiddos and their caregiver families in attendance. This year's Festival of Trees featured 15 trees all sponsored by local businesses and organizations. From all of our Hall is Home Elf volunteers, thank you for making Christmas so memorable for all!!

Hall is Home for Kids

Hall is Home is an initiative birthed in response to the growing need for local foster homes for children in the custody of the Hall County Department of Family and Children Services. In addition, Hall is Home makes it a priority to mobilize community partners to meet the needs of the local foster care community and families impacted by it. Under the scope of the Hall is Home initiative, employees of the Hall County Department of Family and Children Services have worked cooperatively alongside other stakeholders in the child welfare system, including judges, Court Appointed Special Advocates, attorneys, foster parents, birth families, and other local private and public partners to work cooperatively to secure resources to improve the well-being of children in foster care.

While each of these organizations and individuals have worked tirelessly for many years to ensure that all children in the custody of Hall County DFCS have an abundant and joyful Christmas, these dedicated and committed groups have banded together to streamline and coordinate their efforts in order to better serve our foster and relative care communities in anticipation of Christmas 2019.

Resources Benefiting Families is a nationally recognized initiative of Refined By Fire Ministries, Inc., founded in 1989 by Michael and Elaine Ellerbe. The organization was incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization with an initial mission to provide faith-based programming in adult and juvenile correctional facilities. We have partnered with Refined by Fire Ministries, Inc. to enable us to provide all donors tax receipts for deduction purposes and to ensure all vendors are paid in a timely way.
