Residents of Carroll County: Are you concerned about increases in property taxes? Three of our taxing agencies (City of Carrollton, City Schools Board of Education and Carroll County Board of Education) have published their intent to maintain millage rates from the previous year. This will result in property tax increases for most property owners. They have the ability to give property owners a rollback or reduction to the millage rate. If a millage rate increases property owners’ taxes from the previous year, the taxing entity is required by law to hold three public hearings for taxpayers to attend and speak to the issues. Information regarding these public hearings is posted here.

🚨⚠️ BREAKING: The Haralson County Water Authority has issued a boil water advisory for the area East of Highway 27 and south of Highway 120 due to low tank levels causing low pressure in these areas.

To protect the public from a potential health hazard, all customers that have experienced low pressure or an outage should boil their water for at least one minute after it reaches a rolling boil for any water used for drinking, cooking, preparing baby food, or any other consumption.

Please continue to follow this procedure until the Haralson County Water Authority notifies you that the advisory has been lifted.

Continuing to run faucets to prevent freezing will exhaust all reserves. Once reserves are exhausted, it will take days to recover, and areas could be without water for an extended period of time.

For any questions or concerns, please call 770-646-6633 or 770-574-5491.
