December 31st is the last day to give a 2023 tax-deductible gift to Gilgal, Inc. As we approach the end of the year, let's reflect on the enduring power of love and compassion. Your contribution will offer warmth, hope, and stability to our residents working hard to change their lives, like Deborah R.

“I got to witness my daughter graduate college on April 15, 2023. Two weeks later, she was killed by a drunk driver. I was devasted. I did not know how to cope, so I threw my 20 years of clean time out the door and binged on crack co***ne for weeks. That still did not numb the pain; I attempted su***de. After two weeks in ICU and four weeks in the psyche ward, I reached out to Gilgal for help.

Thank God for His love that endures forever. I am so grateful to be at Gilgal where I am learning about Jesus and His sacrificial love for me. My life is changing from the inside out. I’m learning how to process my grief, I just transitioned to the “ready to work” phase at Gilgal, and I am scheduled to participate in Believer’s Baptism on February 4, 2024. I have hope today.

Thank you for your gift to Gilgal that make change like mine possible in the lives of countless women.”

The Blue Jean Gala was such a fun evening! Here are some photos that friends have posted from the Blue Jean Gala. More to come.

29/09/2023

Meet Danielle Blair, the Honorary Chair of the Blue Jean Gala.

Danielle was introduced to Gilgal through a friend and neighbor, Barbra Jackson in 2015. She was searching for a non-profit that she truly believed in. Once hearing about Gilgal, she kept wanting to know more.

“It is so breathtaking and humbling how passionate Gilgal is about helping women. Especially as a Christ based non-profit, i believe it shows that you cant do it alone without Christ”

A Bible verse that Danielle has found inspiring recently is:
⭐️Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Danielle is looking forward to volunteering at Gilgal in the coming weeks. You can meet Danielle and so many more amazing women at the Annual Blue Jean Gala coming up at 6:30pm on Thursday October 26, 2023.

Meet Gilgal volunteer Amber Longo-

Amber was introduced to Gilgal through Whitefield and has been working with Gilgal for 5 spectacular years. When she first found Gilgal, she wanted something for her heart that enriches deeper in Christ.

“You see these women's light so dim, but then you watch them grow, they find a new identity when you see their eyes are alive in Christ.. their faith inspires me.”

This year, Amber is securing items for donations and is helping out with photography for the Annual Blue Jean Gala. One chapter that uplifts Amber is Psalm 23. This chapter inspires an “even though faith” that even though life is not always where we want it to be, we will be strong in Him and trust in Him. You can meet Amber and many other amazing volunteers at the Ninth Annual Blue Jean Gala on Thursday, October 26 2023.

Meet Gilgal volunteer Wendi Cantell-

Wendi has been a teacher for 27 years, she was introduced to Gilgal by a friend in January and is now prayer chair for this years Blue Jean Gala.

“I remember the very first time I came to Gilgal and I immediately connected with a sweet lady who was also an educator and from that point forward, I couldn’t wait to come back because I felt more blessed walking out than when I walked in.”

One chapter that keeps Wendi motivated is Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. Her ability to convey the words that connect us with God in prayer is a true blessing. You can meet Wendi and many other volunteers at the 9th annual Blue Jean Gala on Thursday, October 26.

Meet Gilgal volunteer Lisa Jenn-

Lisa is the point of contact with sponsors for Gilgal and Lisa was introduced to Gilgal while attending the Great Day of Service for Whitefield Academy two years ago and has been with Gilgal since.

“The fact that Gilgal is a Christ centered program gives women a better chance to find success than other avenues they may have tried before”

Lisa’s exceptional communication skills and eye for matching the perfect sponsors that support the mission at Gilgal has exceedingly helped the Blue Jean Gala. You can meet Lisa and many other volunteers at the 9th annual Blue Jean Gala on Thursday, October 26.

Meet Gilgal volunteer Adriane Carter-
Adriane is head of Event Design and Decor for the Blue Jean Gala. She was introduced to Gilgal through her church, East Point Church in 2017. After hearing Gilgal’s message and what Gilgal has done for so many women, Adriane started going to Gilgal three times a week and helping with the Blue Jean Gala.

“One of the biggest takeaways I’ve learned at Gilgal is that the Lord really does change hearts, and seeing the women's determination to have a relationship with Him is beyond inspirational”

You can meet Adriane and many other volunteers who contribute their passion to promote the message at Gilgal at the Blue Jean Gala on Thursday, October 26

Meet Gilgal volunteer Rose Marie Lockett-
Rose Marie has been providing exceptional decor and design for the past eight years at the Blue Jean Gala. Rose Marie is a retired teacher and former assistant principal. She has spent time decorating classrooms, as well as decorating for events at her church.

“I first found out about Gilgal through a friend of mine Bernadette. I then met the Chief Executive Directer of Gilgal Val Cater. There is no way you can listen to her message and not be absolutely hooked.”

Since then, Rose Marie has been helping Gilgal elevate the decor every year for the Annual Blue Jean Gala. You can meet Rose Marie and many other volunteers who contribute their passion to promote the message at Gilgal at the Blue Jean Gala on Thursday, October 26.

Matthew Chapter 6

Congratulations to Renee Schwarzkopf on her upcoming retirement from Gilgal! We will miss you.

Big News! It is with a heavy heart that I write to say I am retiring as volunteer coordinator at Gilgal. The 3 ½ years in this role have been life transforming. I came to Gilgal to serve, but the Lord brought me here to deepen my relationship with Him, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
