Something seemed "off" when Ingrid Andress did the National Anthem before the Homerun Derby. While it's my job to comment on what happened, it didn't seem like it was the Ingrid Andress that I know and appreciate.
She's publicly come out that she was wasted and drunk. She also plans to admit herself (important for those that know) into rehab. I can only imagine what bombing on the world stage must feel like. I hope she finds clarity through this as we all have our demons.
BREAKING: There was a shooting at Former President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania.
President Trump was seen bleeding from his ear.
UPDATE: One spectator has died, and another was injured. The shooter is also dead.
Happy Father's Day to the man! Appreciate all you've ever taught me. Most of the things were an appreciation for music and culture, the reward of hard work, and most importantly, your unwavering support and love for Mom.
The card reads, "Dads like you are few and far between...kind of like the hairs on your head." I was really proud of myself for picking it out. He framed it a few years later.
Caught my personal best today! A 6.2 pounder on a frog!
Thanks to the Birmingham Barons for having us throw out the First Pitch!
A quick story from Talladega
We wanted to sponsor a car and the Big Machine Race team joined up with us on the #48, driven by Parker Kligerman. In addition, we gave away passes to listeners and even a VIP experience to Randi and her daughter Bailey!
Bailey had never been to a NASCAR race or even Talladega. Towards the end of the race, she was a race fan and more importantly, a Parker Kligerman fan! Parker took the lead, late in the race, and I snapped the moment between she and her mom. They were the perfect people to win the experience! That smile is why we do what we do!
Cool moment. Met Todd last year at Talladega. We snapped a pic. This year, he printed that off, and asked me to sign it!
If ya ain't first, you're last!
In the woods but keeping tabs on my buddy in the BASSMASTER Elite tourney on the Harris Chain!
How are you spending today?
Last summer, Cody sat down with us and shared his next single to radio, The Painter. We were the first to hear about it and shared that with all of you. Since then, that song went number one and it's been great to see it climb!
I've spent numerous days on Guntersville trying to understand the patterns of bass movement. A lot is dictated by weather, moon and spawn schedule. Fishing a tournament is like putting pieces of a puzzle together.
My buddy John asked me to fish with him. We spent all day catching fish but not the ones we needed. John would catch a small buck bass so that was a signal to move and find the big girls.
We put together a good day and finished second. Only one buck bass made the team of five! The large four are all females.
Ryan Salzman is a shallow water first, fisherman while Hayden Marbut has dominated on FFS and is known as a "scoper."
What did they say about the current state of Forward Facing Sonar in professional fishing?

ABA Win on Logan Martin
A buddy of mine, from Georgia, called a month ago and said he wanted to come fish Logan Martin. When we pulled up to a local ramp, I saw a guy sitting at a picnic table and a line headed towards him. When I walked by, I overheard that they were doing a tournament.
My buddy and I were just gonna go fish for a few hours. I mentioned that there was a tourney and he jumped! "Let's get in it! Better to fish with a purpose."
We signed up and fished what I thought we should do. With a few hours to go, we had four decent fish and one really little guy. With eight minutes to go, we caught our biggest of the day.
When we weighed in, we were humbled to see our names at the top of the weights. Lesson learned...push to do more than originally thought. It most likely will work out!
My thoughts on Nick Saban, retiring. He's arguably the Greatest Football Coach of All Time, not even just college.
He never had a losing season. He won 6 National Championships at Alabama. Seven overall. He had more first round draft picks attend his schools and play under him.
His final season, he won the SEC Championship and lost to Michigan in an all out battle (better game than the actual Championship.)
Then there's the stories you don't often hear. One that stood out to me was when Frank Ragnow, a lineman for the Detroit Lions, lost his father in college. Ragnow went to Arkansas and lost his dad a week before they played Alabama. Alabama and Saban crushed them, but it was what happened after that shows the type of person Saban is. As Ragnow was leaving the field, Saban had just wrapped up shaking the hands of the other head coach and staff. Saban looked around and saw Ragnow walking towards the tunnel. Saban jogged over and put his hands on Ragnow, pulled him in, and shared some words of encouragement. Saban lost his own father when he was a graduate student so felt that he could share that moment with Ragnow.
That, to me, is arguably the biggest win that Saban could ever have. Saban didn't need to do that. Saban wouldn't have to speak with anyone after a game but he felt the importance of being a human being, for a college kid, was more important than any other person, in that moment.
Thanks for the years, Coach Saban.

2023
I felt so many highs and some big lows.
Highs:
My company, SocialCast Marketing, celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We have tremendous clients and continue to grow.
The Spencer Graves Show debuted on 1025 The Bull and 106.7 Detroits Wheels. I met Megan through Tik Tok and she has been amazing. Watching her grow in broadcasting has been incredible.
I truly felt like I was in love, for the first time, in a long time. I felt seen, appreciated and respected. It felt like something I had never truly felt.
Lows:
The love I felt wasn't true and that hurt. It hurt a ton. I've heard from people that I'm "tough to read." While I disagree, I feel that many don't take the time to really get to know me. I truly want love, in its purest form and will never settle.
I reverted back into a coping mechanism that I've had for years. Something I try working through daily.
My overall fitness wasn't where I wanted it to be. I've taken the crucial first steps of getting back in the gym and setting doctor appointments to make sure my body is firing like it should.
My goal of sharing is to encourage anyone that we are all works in progress. Just keep going and make better decisions.
I love you all!
I'll let you all in on a secret. One of my favorite things about radio and doing shows is how we can collectively come together for great causes.
When I signed on to do The Spencer Graves Show, my first order of business was suggesting that we do "Spencer's Boatload of Toys." As a fisherman, I know the fishing community would support the idea. The station took a risk on a first year toy drive and it blew up!
Sylacauga Marine jumped on as our main sponsor and together we collected over 11 boatloads of Toys! When we were "done," y'all weren't. Toys kept showing up to our locations, studios and even my house. In total, we filled over 15 boats!
This is the little engine that could and it moves because of YOU!!
Week 5
Didn't make it to the gym at all this week. I traveled to Missouri, stopped by numerous drop-offs for Spencer's Boatload of Toys and two days for St Jude. Forced myself to get up early and hit the bar before today.
On one hand, I'm disappointed that I didn't make the time. On the other, I'm glad I went and didn't just sink into my mattress or couch. Guess we all just need to force ourselves some times.

What a great couple of days! We watched as YOU helped us raise $288,628 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!
The money goes to research and giving families the peace of mind that they are financially secure while their child goes through treatment.

Listened to the story of Dylan, who passed at 16. Before he passed, he made birthday cards and anniversary cards for his parents! No family should have to go through that.

Spent a great weekend with some good friends. Another great couple days seeing a gorgeous sunrise!
Add to our list
Week Two
The first day was the hardest. While the workout felt great, the recovery after was brutal. Most people quit when they wake up sore, tired and stiff...I can't. The main reason, I'm tired of what I see in the mirror. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and constantly made excuses for it.
One thing you should know about me, when I set my mind to something, I go all in. First, it was giving up Mountain Dew, proud to say I haven't had soda in over four months (by itself or even with liquor.)
I walk in and see cardio...not my favorite. Then I saw the farmers carry and got a little more excited. 72 pounds each hand and we are walking. It felt good, even with the bike mixed in. It takes 21 days to start a habit and in those 21, you'll be tested but you have to keep going!
I'll get off my soapbox, and I'm certainly not a model of fitness, but if I can do this, you can too!
Thanks to everyone that I've met at these boxes!
(Changes are small. The bottom of my gut is going away and that's after just a couple workouts.)
Not even hard to do!
Your daily reminder:
"People never fail...they quit."
Seems like a good day to sit in a tree!
I've had numerous people question why I love to hunt. I can share several points. Your life is hectic and all of us have stresses in it. The beauty of hunting is being able to just sit and be still. Settled in nothing but thought and taking in some of the most beautiful moments.
Have you ever seen the woods and world wake up? Listen to the sounds of leaves falling? Feel that sunshine hit your face as the sun begins to rise? These are a few of the small things that city life will cause us to take for granted.
I think about my family, friends and the future, while I'm sitting here. It's a break from the day in, and day out, of life.
Even if you don't hunt, wake up early one morning and sit in the woods to see what truly makes a day, a day.
Signed a breast cancer awareness truck for my friend, Cubbie! Y'all might remember that she joined the show in St Louis for a couple months. Recently, she was diagnosed but tells me all the time..."make sure those girls get their girls checked!"
SO GO GET CHECKED!!
