Many of the services our families receive will be in the home or in another environment familiar to the family. Once this period of evaluation is completed, the consumer will be placed in the appropriate level of service. This may include Intensive Family Intervention services, Core Services (individual and/or family counseling, groups and behavioral management) or referred to another agency for services that BOLYFS may not offer. Either way, the consumers’ needs will be in the forefront of suggested services. The levels of care recommended to a consumer are determined by a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, a nurse, licensed counselors, master level clinicians and certified addiction counselors. BOLYFS utilizes a variety of treatment and therapeutic services to enable consumers to learn social and psychological skills to improve their overall functioning in life. Our services include individual counseling and training, group counseling, family counseling and training, consumer community support, substance abuse education and prevention, psycho-educational groups, evaluations, assessments and referrals. Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during a challenging time in life. Counseling can be effective in helping a person deal with personal issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage and relationship challenges, parenting problems, school difficulties and career changes. Family Counseling

Family counseling can take a variety of forms. Sometimes it is best to see an entire family together for a few sessions. At other times it may be better to see children and their parents separately. Whatever the format, the goal of family counseling is to identify the dynamics that cause problems and to institute changes in the structure or style of how the family operates. Psychiatric Evaluations

BOLYFS works with children, adolescents and adults to help determine and gain a better understand of any emotional and/or behavior issues that they may be experiencing. Upon receipt of services, a comprehensive assessment is provided for all individuals. After the comprehensive assessment takes place, generally psychological testing is recommended. Psychological testing is utilized to accurately diagnose psychiatric disorders such as ADHD, Depression, and Anxiety. After assessing an individual’s test results, BOLYFS will develop a comprehensive report and specific recommendations to help the individuals and families gain a better understanding of the issues that they have been experiencing and personalized recommendations to treat them. The results are also used to determine the services that will be provided to individuals and families. Treatment provided by BOLYFS may include, but is not limited to the following: individual therapy, family counseling, family skills training, individual skills training, psychiatric services, medication management, behavior modification, parenting skills training, anger management, group counseling, and community resource linkage.
