On Sunday, we pause to talk about the power of shame that keeps many from stepping into the freedom available to us in Jesus and embracing our true identity as God’s children and friends. We will talk about it in light of the three cultural issues we have looked at. Money and finances, image and reputation, s*x and love, and steps we can take to say yes to how Jesus views us.

It is a foundational verse that speaks volumes about who we are at Vintage and who we are always aspiring to be as a church family. It also speaks to the expectations we can have of one another and the expectations we should expect others to have of us. This Sunday, we will unpack this verse and how we need to engage it once again to be the church God has called us to be.

Our students are returning from One Camp this week, and on Sunday we will get to hear stories of how God moved in each of their lives. It is an annual tradition and one that never disappoints. What a sweet time we had hosting a dessert bar for our incredible Paulding county child welfare workers at DFCS! Our Vintage family sent over amazing homemade desserts, and we were able to bless and honor these everyday heroes.
We are deeply grateful for the tireless efforts of child welfare workers in our community. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do!

Happy Father’s Day! Today’s message is specifically tailored toward our men. We are told to be leaders, love well, and fight for and defend those we love, but sometimes we struggle. And that does not make us weak... that makes us human! This morning, I want to highlight a few different struggles common to most men, highlight truths from scripture we can hold onto, and hopefully take some steps towards greater wholeness and healing that can empower our everyday lives.

This Sunday, we celebrated our amazing high school and college graduates! We presented them with symbolic gifts to remind them of the immense love surrounding them and to give them confidence as they embark on their new journeys ahead.
We encouraged them to be strong and courageous, knowing that the Lord is always near and will uphold them at all times. (Deuteronomy 3:16) Even in the physical uprooting, they can rest in the knowledge that they are spiritually rooted. It was our joy to pray over them and commission them out!
Congratulations to all our graduates! Your church family is incredibly proud of you and we are excited to see where God leads you next. Thanks to for capturing the morning!
