🚧👷 Exciting News! 🧱🚧 Yesterday, we celebrated a significant milestone at Wellroot Family Services with the groundbreaking of our residential property in Decatur! This space is being transformed to support transition-age youth stepping into adulthood after foster care. As we enter phase 2 of renovations, we’re reminded of our commitment to providing the essential support and guidance these young adults need as they navigate life’s next chapter.

A heartfelt thank you to Wellroot CEO & President Allison Ashe, Congressman Hank Johnson, our Board of Director president Brad MacAfee, and our TLP/ILP residents Kayla and Jayanna for joining us at the groundbreaking. Your presence and powerful stories highlighted the importance of this new space and the difference it will make in the lives of so many. 🌟 Shoutout to our amazing volunteers! 🌟

This past weekend, 8 dedicated individuals came together for Second Saturday. They spent three hours sorting and organizing our primary resource areas: the Intake Room, the Resource Room (where we keep diapers and kids’ clothing), and the Residential Resource Room (where we store furniture and baby equipment).

Their hard work and energy were inspiring! 🤩 We’re thrilled to see familiar faces returning and excited to welcome new volunteers.
