Today in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, was signed into law. July is also Disability Pride Month, a month-long celebration of the signing of the ADA.
Some of DCPL’s branches are raising awareness of Disability Pride Month with book and information displays.
We are also showcasing a hand-picked list of children’s picture books with themes of inclusivity and experiencing the world from another person’s unique perspective.
You can find the list at https://dekalblibrary.org/go.php?brsn=%22Disability+Pride+Month%22
