On Aug. 1, the Cherokee County Master Gardeners hosted their annual Tomato Tasting Contest in partnership with Cherokee County Senior Services. All the gardeners brought in their homegrown tomatoes for the season and the seniors tried all of them and voted on which one they liked the best. The master gardener with the most votes gets the golden zucchini. Judy Lester was the big winner this year with her delicious yellow tomatoes that the seniors absolutely LOVED. Congratulations, Judy!
