It's bananas. For some reason, these "good conversations" never lead to anything. You know why? Because those are NOT leads. You're calling them leads because you've spoken to them once (then they started ignoring you) or you bought or scraped their email address. BUT they are not leads just because you have their information. Nope! You see, ๐๐ผ Leads want you to contact them. ๐๐ผ Leads display actions of interest. So, you're going to have to do some of those things "๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ ๐จ๐ข๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐จ ๐๐ค" --that you despise--to first find your place in the market. Everything you do in the beginning won't be scalable. And guess what? No one expects them to be. Do you think the CEO of Uber calling and hopping in taxis to convince the drivers to work for Uber was scalable? Of course not. But look at Uber today. You've got to start somewhere. The tactics that are necessary for getting initial traction is NOT the long-term strategy. You won't be doing those things forever. ๐๐ผIt's just your Go-To-Market strategy.๐๐ผ And "going to market" means just that---you're just getting started. It's not the long-term strategy, but it will at least get your feet in the door to learn what works and what doesn't. And it's not a one-

Did you know that you can segment your market and find out who is most price-sensitive by running discount coupon promotions? Go ahead and try it. You see, this tactic is meant to attract those that they knew what you offered, but wouldn't ordinarily buy it. However, now the low (er) price appeals to them. ๐ค Now remember, this is just meant as a TEMPORARY tactic, not long-term. A promotion is TEMPORARY by nature unless you're Walmart, discounting isn't your strategic position while trying to find product market fit and create a sustainable business.
