That's What Friends Are For, Inc
Raising funds to help people with the cost of spay/neuter and other life saving programs for companion animals throughout the CSRA.
Whiskey's surgery was a success. Any donation of $5 or more qualifies you for the Masters Garden Flag, Masters mug and 60 minute massage at Willow Day Spa in Evans with Katie Brooks Walker.
$512/$1300 raised. Whiskey was a cat that was returned to us after a 6 month adoption. Reasons for return: moving to a place that doesn't allow cats and a new baby. He had an injured leg when he was surrendered. The adopter ghosted me when I presented them with the vet bill. I only asked them to pay 1/2.

Update: He's still at the vet waiting to be seen. Unfortunately there's only one vet working today and they are fully booked out since tomorrow they do not have an available vet. We are blessed that All God's Creatures is working him in.

Thank you to the mystery donor! We still have over 100 cats in our care and every bit helps, since most of the food, toys and litter comes out of the pocket of the Fosters!
Need some fun-filled revenge while supporting a good cause? Sponsored by Friends of Felines and That's What Friends Are For, Inc
Step 1: make your donation with Venmo , PayPal https://www.paypal.me/MeredithBobenchik or (DM for Zelle or Credit Card charge)
Step 2: give us a name
Step 3: give us a short reason why
Step 4: We will do the rest. You'll get a picture of the cat complete with its name and reason for "cat-stration"
We have colonies in the CSRA that are going unchecked because the counties these colonies are located in don't have any programs or funding set aside for these animal control issues. Help us control the cat population one "ex" at a time.
This is what the money goes towards. Everything stays local.

He has been named Buddy. He recently became completely blind and started to succumb to the effects of starvation as he struggled to find food and water. By Tuesday afternoon, he was so weak, he couldn't even stand any longer, but our volunteer made him find his will to live.
Buddy's appointment was costly today. He needed a triple snap test, blood work and urinalysis. His prognosis from the vet was good despite the FIV + status, so proceeded with the testing. He's now standing again and has gotten a nice warm bath. He's eating and drinking and resting comfortably. We are hoping to get the vision restored. He's very vocal and if he was feral before, he certainly understands what we are doing for him now, as he is tender and sweet.
Tomorrow we have a surgery scheduled for a polyp removal on one of our dumpster kitties and a consult for a leg amputation for a baby kitty who was left in the road after being hit by a car. Our FIP treatments continue on three of our babies. We also have a hernia operation soon as well as 2 eye removals next week.
Thank you for your donations. We receive no aid from HSUS or the ASPCA. We have to do all our own fund raising, but 100% goes to the animals, as we take no salary.
I personally want to thank my family and friends for supporting our organization. Today was our biggest event so far. Thank you for being so generous. Augusta top and under dog

Hope you all checked out this month's edition of Evans Lifestyle Magazine. Pictured from left to right is me with Rozie, then Lorna Barrett (founder/president) with Kitty and Tara Ford Romes (vice-president) with Gabby. We are truly a team and cannot function without each of us playing a vital role. While we all participate in all functions of this 501c3, Lorna is our main community liaison, grant writer and treasurer. Tara does most of the animal rescue work and voucher writing for the public. I handle lots of the fundraising, technology and social media. Our mission is to rescue and our dream is to one day not have to. Prayers for stricter animal control laws. Stay tuned for our next announcement in the near future! Thank you to all our supporters and fosters. We couldn't do this without you either!
