BAND ANNOUNCEMENT: ABRAMS

ABRAMS blast forth a cathartic mix of catchy, driving rhythms, soaring vocals and ethereal ambiance that's bittersweet and nostalgic while gazing forward. Fusing melody and dissonance, the Denver band's arresting sound shares terrain with Torche and Cave-In, while their penchant for crunchy, irresistible riffs recalls alt-rock icons Failure and Hum. Focused on prolific musical output and consistent DIY touring, ABRAMS has taken their blend of heavy rock, shoegaze, grunge and post-metal on their own tours and supporting artists like Quicksand, Torche, Khemmis and King Buffalo. They’ll embark on Spring and Fall tours behind their May 2024 Blues Funeral Recordings release Blue City, including a co-headline package with Phoenix heavyweights Goya and slots at DesertFest New York and RippleFest Texas.

Although you’ll likely have a better chance of burning a joint with the band before they’d ever admit it themselves, TIA CARRERA is in fact legendary.

Hailing from Austin Texas, since their beginning in 2000. They’ve long been known for their sound, style, and incendiary (largely improvised) instrumental sets.

With noticable nods to Hendrix, Bonham, and Dusty Hill, from members Jason Morales gtr, Erik Conn drums, and Curt Christenson bass. The trio is always curiously and cosmically, all-together their own thing. Sonically unique alongside their friends and peers within such a talented scene & bombastic genre.

With 8 official releases (on various labels) and another (slowly but surely) in the works, Tia Carrera continues to evolve doing what they love, and do so well together. In late 2012, longtime Boston friends and ex-bandmates needed a good excuse to keep partying. Leather Lung became that alibi.

Harnessing the momentum from touring the East Coast and their crushing live reputation, Leather Lung signed with Magnetic Eye Records and released “Lonesome, On’ry and Evil” in 2019. The album’s massively positive reception kept them motivated during the pandemic, and heralded their return in 2022 with a new second guitarist and the “Dive Bar Devil” EP.

Belzebong are a stoner metal band from Kielce, Poland. Since the band’s formation in 2008 they currently have three albums under their belt and have toured Europe on multiple occasions.

Along with their weed-themed instrumental doom the band is best known for their “Dude” psuedonyms, keeping their faces obscured whether by hair or fog and tongue-in-cheek nature to their music as implicated in many interviews. All of their music to date, barring samples, is instrumental.

Ascending from the metal music haven of New Mexico’s Rio Grande valley, Violet Rising is an anthemic rock band with vibrant and thunderous live performances, contemporary anti-system, anti-oppression, and romantic pro-human messages arranged in a sultry, psychedelic, heavy rock sound. The band conjures the strength and magnitude of an awakened beast, an astounding visual aesthetic, with a handsome monochromatic back line and pops of inspiring colors from the band’s creator and front woman, Christi Sánchez.

Violet Rising was born from Christi’s own personal experiences and outcomes, a journey resembling shrinking violets, and her message, along with her band, became the rallying voice for all humans who may have lost their way, climbing out of the shadows of others, to take their power back and to celebrate their existence is full, unapologetic benevolence. BAND ANNOUNCEMENT: MR. PLOW

For over 25 years, Mr. Plow from Houston, Texas, has thrilled listeners with their original brand of heavy rock. Taking musical inspiration from heavy 1990s bands (like Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Melvins, Clutch, Helmet, Quicksand, and others) and lyrical inspiration from popular culture and novels (particularly those of Kurt Vonnegut), Mr. Plow self-released 3 albums: Head On (2000); Cockfights and Pony Racin’ (2004); and Asteroid 25399 (2006). Mr. Plow then signed with Ripple Music and released their fourth album, Maintain Radio Silence, in August 2018 (a mere 12 years after their last release). Mr. Plow is currently working on material for a new album, which will hopefully be released sometime before 2030.

Mr. Plow consists of Justin Waggoner (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Stone (guitar, vocals), Cory Cousins (drums, vocals), and Gabe Katz (bass, vocals).

Fatso Jetson is an American desert rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1994 by
Yawning Man and The Sort of Quartet members Mario Lalli and Larry Lalli, along with Tony Tornay,
and Dino Von Lalli (son of Mario). Fatso Jetson have remained a active force in underground rock
for almost 25 years. They are often credited as originators of the desert strain of stoner rock made
most famous by their younger neighbors Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. While musically
similar to some of their stoner brethren, Fatso Jetson incorporate a variety of musical influences
that includes punk, art rock, blues and psychedelic hard rock.

Fusing together classic rock and delta blues with a punk rock attitude, Buzz is an act that attracts a wide variety of music fans and is definitely not to be missed. 2024 marks the release of Buzz’s 2nd full length album, Wasted, featuring founding-member Joe Oney (guitar/vocals) and an all-new rhythm section (Daniel and Colby from goodEye) and is already working on a second full length to be released this summer. BAND ANNOUNCEMENT: ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD

Robots of the Ancient World have been a relentless force in the PNW heavy music scene for nearly a decade and show no signs of slowing down. They have shared the stage with bands including Truckfighters, the Dwarves, Pike vs the Automaton, Yawning Man, Sasquatch, Zeke, and 1000mods. The band has faced various lineup changes over the years, but the core of the group (Justin, Nico, and Caleb) has remained constant. With the release of their most recent album, “3737,” put out by Small Stone Records and Kozmik Artifactz in late 2023, the band continues to mature and take their sound to the next level. Currently, ROTAW has begun the writing process for what will be their fourth full-length release. “We have been cranking out killer riff after killer riff for what we aim to be the best of what we are known to deliver: no frills, high octane, fuzzed out, and heavy rock ‘n’ roll,” states Caleb.

Fuzz fanatics Crystal Spiders burst out of NorthCarolina in 2019, helmed by bassist and vocalist Brenna Leath of Lightning Born. Releasing a self-recorded demo to critical acclaim, the power trio were signed to premiere heavy label Ripple Music before the year’s end. While comparisons could be drawn to contemporaries like Year of the Cobra and Royal Thunder, Crystal Spiders follow in the footsteps of giants, blending powerhouse vocals, fuzzed out bass lines, and shredding guitar solos with alternately driving and grooving rhythms. The result — a deft mix of classic rock and heavy metal dynamics, psychedelic textures, and doomed-out bluesy swing.

Hot off a 2023 European run with 2 full-length albums — MOLT (2020) and MORIERIS (2021) — under their belts already, Crystal Spiders’s momentum can only increase with their third album eagerly anticipated in late 2024.
