✈️ Las Vegas - I’m so excited to go on my first trip of the year to Las Vegas to celebrate my sister’s .vegas.traveler birthday. I’m also meeting my other sister and good friend, Cindy, there. It’s going to be a fun girls weekend. Looking forward to having dinner at , watching O Cirque du Soleil , spa day at , checking out , and fun at the .vegas. My sister lives in Vegas and gives us the deets on what happening in Vegas. There’s so many things to do in Vegas that is not g*ambling.

Mommy & Girls Weekend at The Westin Austin at The Domain

📍Museum of Illusions located at the Domain in Austin, Texas - We had a fun Mommy and Daughters weekend. We visited the Museum of Illusions. My girls love interactive museums especially where they have to figure stuff out. There were so many interactive installations. It’s a great activity for family. Be mindful there are installations with flashing lights and motion.

Skillmatics Guess in 10 game is now available with a kids meal at Chick-Fil-A - I took my kids for an after school treat at Chick-Fil-A. My son loves the fun activities that comes with the kids meal. We played the Skillmatics Guess in 10 game at the restaurant. The card game is a trivia card game about animals. He loved guessing which animals I was describing. He did get a little help from big sister but still had loads of fun. This trivia game is great for family game night.

📍Smile, Even If You Don’t Want To! located on South Congress - It’s been a minute since I’ve posted about a mural in Austin, Texas . This one resonates with me as a Mom right now. I get so bogged down in the day to day motherhood that I forget this is where I wanted to be. Even in the thick of it with 3 kids, I have to remind myself I am where I dreamed of. I have a wonderful family and a place we call home. Today, I’ll pause to appreciate my blessings.

🧋Feng Cha in Round Rock - Boba after school treat for these 3 musketeers. The girls got the strawberry breeze. I got he Taro Milk tea. We all had different toppings. I like that you can choose the level of sweetness on your drink. My little dude got the cheese cake. We are always on a lookout for Boba. Feng Cha didn’t disappoint.

☕️ 309 Coffee in Georgetown, Texas - The kids are back in school. It’s nice to have a coffee break with a mom friend during a weekday. 309 Coffee in Georgetown is apparently also a place to do remote work in. This bungalow cafe is quiet and peaceful. It’s located a little farther down the street from the Georgetown Square. The coffee is 💯. Since I’ve been back to Texas, I’ve been exploring more local cafes. I missed the different types of lattes we offer in the US.

🍧 Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice - Took the kids for after school treat last Friday. Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice is now open in Round Rock by Kalahari . We love Shave Ice especially with freshly made mochi toppings. Little Dude and I had ice cream. They have UBE ice cream! It was so good!

Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice originated in Lahaina, Maui. Their shop there was affected by the recent fire. If you would like to support their employees, please donate on link in my stories or on their website.

Mom Hack with RTIC Coolers - Mom life has been busy since we returned from our Summer in Croatia. Between the kids school activities, Hub’s soccer, and weekend events, we have been on the go in this Texas heat. I’m so glad to have these new RTIC backpack coolers. The large Backpack Cooler holds 20 cans and a bag of ice including water bottles and 🍷. I’ve been keeping cooled water in my mom mobile during pickups and activities. The Chillout Backpack Cooler has been soon helpful to keep drinks and snacks on the go. Hubs has used it during soccer game, and I used it at a picnic at the splash pad. Gotta keep hydrated during this Texas heat.

📍Unicorniverse Bakery & Cafe in Round Rock - Took my Middle Bebe for a treat at a new European Bakery & Cafe. It’s such a cute cafe that has a Beauty and the Beast theme. They serve plant-based sweets and lattes. The cupcakes and macarons are delicious.

First Day of School for the Three Musketeers. I can’t believe Little Dude started primary school. He’s so excited to go to sisters’ school. My girls are both in middle school. It’s going to be a very busy but exciting school year.

Have you or your kids started school?

We are back home in Austin, Texas. I’m trying to navigate motherhood with school back in session in a week. We also said goodbye to my sister and her family as they start their new adventure in Oregon. It’s bittersweet. We have had so many memories raising our family together. I will miss you sister! I’m excited to see each other in October for my birthday and ACL Music Fest as well as visiting in Oregon.

Has school started for your kiddies?

📍Kalahari Resorts Escape Room in Round Rock - we are squeezing lots of fun times with cousins before my sister and her family move to Oregon. We went to our first Escape Room at Kalahari. It was so much fun. We ended up with the loot at the very last second. Thanks to our helper for giving us the hints. I had no idea how it worked. We had dinner at BLux prior to the fun. Kalahari Resorts also is home to a big indoor and outdoor water park and indoor adventure park. We love coming here.

Have you ever done an Escape Room?

📍Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal is the largest sanctuary dedicated to Saint Joseph and one of the world’s most visited pilgrimage sites with over 2 million visitors per year.  

The Oratory consists of a Museum featuring nativity scenes from around the world, the Oratory Original Chapel, the spectacular Garden of the Way of Cross, the Crypt Church and the largest domed Basilica in North America. The votive chapel contains 10,000 candles.

You can also see a beautiful view of Montreal from the balcony.

*There’s currently constructions at the front of the church. It’s free to get in but areas for offerings.

🎂Celebrated our sweet Middle Bebe’s 11th Birthday this weekend. She’s fierce strong but also kind and gentle. She cares about everyone. She is shy about her talent in singing and writing. She loves to draw, ramen, and anime. She said she wants to live in Japan (correction: now it’s New York) one day. Love you sweet girl! 💕

She also shares her birthday with her Auntie . They have a great bond.

🎶 It’s gonna be May!🎶 - May is one of my stressful and exciting month. It’s the last month of the school year. The month is filled with school activities, teacher’s appreciation (as they should be), birthdays (especially my Middle’s birthday), Mother’s Day, trip to Miami, and cleaning and packing for our Summer in Croatia. We are definitely blessed to have all these events but I’m stressed out already. But no fret, I work well under pressure.

To all the parentals who also struggle in May, cheers! Summer is around the corner.

Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and school staff! You are the best!

What do you most look forward to in May?

Happy 13th Birthday to our Big Girl! She turned 13 on Earth Day. Our little Flower 🌸 child has been such a blessing to making us parents. She was born a leader. She’s kind, strong, creative, analytical, and sporty.

It’s an interesting feeling seeing your child blossom. As parents we plant the seed and make sure they have enough soil and nutrients as well as sun. And then we step aside and wait to see how they bloom. We are so proud of the young lady she’s becoming. We love you to the moon!

📍Blippi’s The WONDERful World at HEB Performance Hall in San Antonio - Dad took Little Dude to watch Blippi Live in San Antonio. He was asking to see the real Blippi forever. He loved every minute of the show especially singing the songs.

What was the last live show you or your kids have seen?

Hey, it’s Aysha! I’m a Filipina married to a Croatian living in the suburbs of Austin with our 3 multicultural kids. One tidbit about me is that I was an awkward and shy kid. I’m an introvert. I’m an extrovert to my close friends and family. Today, I’m more comfortable in my awkwardness. As my girls are growing, I’ve always said being unique and weird is a good thing. There’s only one you and that’s wonderful. One day I was commenting on how weird my daughter’s choice of outfit (mismatched). She looked at me and said, “I’m weird, mom, and I like it that way!” I have to say at that moment I wished I had the same confidence at her age as I did when I was young. I’m so proud she owned it and wore that outfit with such confidence.
