Alaska Fishing 2024

Decker continues to produce. My crew Sat caught a new boat record hybrid of 26”. Landed 21 and they took home 7 for a family fish fry. They sure liked the chum today. One fish I cleaned had eaten 10+ pieces of shad I had tossed over before he bit the hook. Staying home Monday as the storm passes east of Austin. Back at it Tuesday.

Over 60 fish jumping on the boat the last 2 days fishing Decker Lake. That morning cloud cover has been great

Kent, Wayne, and Ray fished with me Monday on Buchanan. The first 3hours was non stop action with a slower bite as the sun came out from behind the clouds. Ended the day with 123 fish consisting of whites, hybrids, stripers, catfish, gaspergoo, and crappie. Kept a couple dozen whites for dinner. About half caught on live bait and the rest on MAL lure and other various jigs.

20mph winds didn’t stop these kids from landing 67 fish on Decker on 4 hr trip this morning. Ok mom and dad and nana helped out also.

35 on Decker today. Started with Crappie, ended with Hybrids

Awesome couple days on the water at Decker. My wife and deckhand in training joined me Wednesday for a couple hours and we all caught fish. Thursday my crew landed 30 with 5 sets of doubles. Going to be interesting fishing the next week with storms, but we sure need the rain!!!!

Kid fish on Lake Austin today. Caught perch, catfish and fresh water black drum. 35 caught in 4 hrs.

Pole bending action today on Decker lake with Hybrid and largemouth bass

Good white bass trip on LBJ Friday and kid trip on Austin Sunday. Only a couple days left open in March. I have a couple spots still open on shared trips on Fayette April 6,7,9

Good day on Decker with a mixture of black Bass and hybrid bass. The splasher pulled em in under the boat for some fast jigging action.
